How to reach Monte Isola?
You can take the ferry from Sulzano or Sale Marasino. Those are the closest harbors. There is a ferry every 20 minutes and you can buy your tickets on the spot.
The free parking spot that I found is in Sulzano.

Although I knew I wanted to leave my job to travel, ...

Italy is known for its beautiful landscapes, its delicious food but also for the way Italians drive...🤭 Before moving to Italy I have heard a lot about it. “Italians are bad drivers”, “Italians are so aggressive when they drive” etc. Well... I've been living in Italy for a year now and I have to say that... It's true. Italians are not good drivers 😅 (All my Italian friends are going to hate me ...

Agree completely. Bergamo Alta is a wonderful place. We've only just come back from a short break. Loved each of your comments and segments. We actually did visit and eat at Mimi. Visually, it looks authentic and incredible and has a real rustic feel. Our wine and bruschetta were excellent. Unfortunately, that's where it stopped. Our mains were very disappointing. It can't be that difficult to present edible rabbit, beef, and mini potato cuts. Our rabbit was like leather. Beef was small portioned with a significant amount of fat, and potatoes were stoggy. Other than that, it was fine, but then we went for the food

Remember too that the heat is increasing every year. There is no “normal” any more. So in some years there will be parts of Italy that will be dead zones because of heat at least in summer.
We'll leave you the bagette
I live in Spain and I notice that sometimes, I'm A LOT more dramatic when I speak Spanish. It's pretty normal here in the South. When I lived in Japan, my voice went up quite high especially when I spoke Japanese on the phone. Actually it went up even in person!😊
Weird that this has not more views...

We are visiting this Thursday until Monday. I'd love to find where those displayed skulls are! I'm sure the kids would love them. Great video.
My gosh with these stupid mandolins as background.. 🤦♀🤦♀
I have learned that the biggest thing you have to know about Italy is the thieves. Arrived this morning, wallet was stolen the first time I got on the bus. Within 15 minutes they had charged 1500 Euros. Bunch of feckin thieves.
most of things are true
We say aubergine in English!

Thanks for sharing but you said one has to rent flat far from church so he/ she won't hear 🙃🤔. hello ! Bells are rung as a signal to the people that it is time to make their way to the church for worship or it is a wake up call to remember God. It is a blessing to rent a flat nearby church.
My mother's father was from Rome Italy but I live in the states I have been wanting to move to Italy and stay forever I've been learning italian and getting familiar with italian culture. This video was a big help. I'm mixed half native american with italian Scot French I definitely think Italy will be right for me and a good culture shock
Un altro bellissimo video, bravissima! Adoro Bergamo!
Aubergine is the British English & Eggplant is American English, so Aubergine is correct.
Aubergine is used in british english not eggplant
It is so valuable to see these lovely places that foreigners are not familiar with. Through videos like these I am learning that the small towns of Italy are real gems and should be sought out during any trip to Italy. Thanks!
I love Italy
Thank you for this.
No mosquito in my town this summer:it depends from the year
The villa tree 🌄🌳 È uno dei miei posti preferiti in Italia💚🐾
Boh is a lifestyle and it Is funny, you don't know but you are not worried, somehow you can live without knowing everything
Wow what a great video! Really like the style and the place of course :-) The lakes are just the BEST.
I've done two months in Sicily recently as part of a long euro trip. I very much enjoyed it & already drawn to learning the language
you can't generalize about moschitos because there are a lot of city in italy that haven't any problem about it
_You remind me of Françoise Hardy_
Stop label the northern like the southern! We are not TERRONI! learn culture before trying to spread it
With your lips you can say whatever you want: I’ll do agree with you forever
You don't need a Nespresso, of you have The Espresso 😎
I think it's a bit of an exaggeration... the things you described are exceptions not the rule... 90% of Italian drivers follow the rules of the road like everyone else. Actually the craziest drivers I've met in my life were in Germany... the autobahn is a rodeo. ^_^
I'm Italian, and I can tell you that at least 60/70% of people do at least one of these things, then the people who do them all together are a little less, but they are there. However, the German motorway works well, if you want to go slowly stay in the right lane, if you want to overtake those who are going slowly go in the middle lane while if you go very fast and want to overtake those in the middle lane you can go left and then go to the right to leave the lane free

@@jomy3766 I don't know where you live in Italy, but where I come from people aren't that wild on the road. And regarding Germany, the highway is one of the few places where I was afraid. There are vehicles that travel at 100km/h and others at 300km/h, you can never get distracted. In particular, several times I have seen cars entering the motorway at full speed in an unsafe manner...
@@therover4428 but as you can see in Germany everything works well on the motorway, and it's all about mentality anyway. ps: I live in Puglia
ITALIAN DRIVERS ARE SAVAGE SPECIALLY IN THE SOUTH. And I'm saying it as an italian driver, sooooooooooooo
yeah because the french drivers are so good !
No doubt certain things depend on where you live, but you've made some really good points 🤭 e sono contenta che ti piacciano molto vini e formaggi italiani ♥️
I am italian but I have not your impression about italian drivers. but I know that it is true about some regions like campania in which you are absolutely true. In that regions laws do not exist! O_0
Omg I love you. You are funny!!! I don't know why you don't get more views.
It is true: most of the Italian population drive like a maniac. Always be careful when crossing the road on the zebra crossing, cause they will try to hit you if you are not crossing fast enough.
🤣
Lost me at vegetarian! Haha! Baccione
American with an Italian mother. When in Italy I stand differently--more "contraposto," and not as straight. I use my hands more, not with specific hand gestures, just more hand-motion. My Italian relatives don't really use a lot of the more specific hand gestures. Well, "boh" is accompanied by a shrug of the shoulders. In the U.S. one Italianism that me and my brothers have never lost is that we point to things with our noses rather than our fingers. We also use the "Ma dai!" in an English formulation--"Come on! Seriously." It's kind of aggressive in the U.S., but I consider it a conversational necessity.
What I've noticed is that Americans make a lot of hand gestures when speaking, but unlike Italians -- who can use their hands to emphasize the meaning of words -- Americans (aside from this excessive use of quotations marks) just wave their hands in the air.
In north Italy ..you play mandolin..my friend you are disqualified
