My dad was from Peru. He loved The Who,e circus atmosphere. He had a calliope in the 1950s. When the circus started up as a local event, the Flying Trapeeze” act practiced in the hay mow of our barn - only place tall enough. Phil Parsons was the catcher. Betty Parsons, Don and Nancy Bailey were the fliers! They were trained by the one and only Willie Wilno (willie Wiedrich). My dad was R.R. (Dick) Howard.

I remember these as little kid at the local parade each fall. I’d really like to get one back

The Delta Queen always had a capturing whistle sound.

This brings back childhood memories. Everyone in town knew when the Delta Queen would dock on our banks of the Mississippi. Her whistle you could hear for miles, a dominating sound. No other paddlewheel had the distinct whistle sound like the grand ol lady of the river, you always knew when she was in town.

Is that song at the start "Wabash Cannonball"? It's hard to identify some songs on a steam organ unless it's the one they always play at the Circus.

This would be a great blast to use on Election Day win Trump wins again!!!

Ah, good ol' Tall Stacks... I remember being younger and going to Tall Stacks back in about 2005 and getting a wooden whistle from the event. Still have it in my room somewhere. It's a shame that no one in Cincinnati wants to start the event up again after 10+ years. As a local in Cincinnati, the only steamers I see anymore are the ones that B&B Riverboats has, and even then those whistles are _nothing_ compared to the ones on Natchez and Delta.
