Like a kid with a new toy! 🤣 I’m a knife collector myself, but not interested in a big machete until now. And all because of your excitement 😂. Kudos to ODENWOLF. Here I go to buy one. Thanks brother and God bless! 😃
You'll enjoy it. Lol
Good video unboxing review of the Odenwolf Machete well done
Thank you
I’d like more of a drop point in that size
Lynx is a Sabre grind. Bolar 695 is basically 440c.
Thank you I appreciate the information
Lets try to leave a comment on this video. My comments have been taken off videos . No none were bad i dont cus or make rude comments. So i dont get it. I just replaced a comment on your last video or the one before. Great channel
@@rolfrobertson6404 yep it up. And thank you
Something is going on with the you tube. I posted a comment on this post yesterday, and now it's gone. This is happening to me throughout the knife community.
God bless brother.
Ive had at least 3 of those, 2 got stolen one i cant find. But i love them knives. Yes i went to Odin wolf's web page, i like their knives and price. As a modern day Viking , anything with the word Odin in it i had too check out. Thanks.
They should've put a full sheath on the mini with the pocket clip at the top of the sheath so that the majority of the knife is retained in your pocket! That alone kept me from buying one !
Yeah Ive been looking at theses knives teal hard. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
The knife guy cannot use the ferro rod to save his life.... gosh youtube needs to vet people putting out videos...
So I bought the W-minis, great deal for fixed blade EDC, good channel liked and subscribed
I dindu buy expensive version I bought... COS ;o
This is the cos version of I remember
This is sad, sorry you have to deal with such a thing. I am looking for a good machete. I'll keep my eye on your videos, Odin wolf is becoming one of my favorite. Thanks
Why the fook wouldn’t they package it in an actual shipping box?
@TheGunsNBlades I have no idea. It came UPS. But even the mrs asked the same question. The others I received have been in shipping boxes
That's a great knife. I believe that is n695 is a good steel along the same as 14c28n N695 is supposed to hold a edge longer but is harder to sharpen. Like best to have diamond stones. I have more experience with N690. An that is great. So you have 5 more. What could be bad about that😊
That Winkler is beautiful. I'd love to have one, but $300-$400 is approaching 'gun range' money for me. I'm happy with my Oden Wolf, Mora & Eafengrow knives. They're disposable. I don't do anything that would remotely destroy them. They're a great value.
I'm not a China hater by any means, but I try not to buy those type of knives that China mass produces under various names/brands. I simply don't trust the quality. There is too much knife for too little a price -- not a good combo, IMO. I'm more of a classic woodsman and use the D.H Russel Canadian Belt Knife, Swiss army knife, and a Mora as a backup. That serves me well and I have confidence in the materials and manufacturing.
Making fun of you, for what? lol. Do a gaw and give the old one you just beat to death as the prize. I would be honored to win something like that. Great video and channel, thanks
@@rolfrobertson6404 thank you really do appreciate it.
This is the long version of my response to Matt LOL
If you must baton a larger piece of wood start toward the edge of the log instead of the center. This allows you to make smaller pieces and work your way in. Great video enjoy your camping
It amazes me how many people get their shorts all twisted in a knot over this topic.
They are all right, but true bushcraft you get 1 knife and sent out to survive with that one knife. Great video, thanks.
your watchin survival youtubers bushcraft is not 1 knife and thats it
Dork
Tough guy.
Great video.
To me, batoning makes no sense. If you’re in an area where you have 3-4” rounds, then there are also plenty of twigs, sticks and other smaller pieces. Why risk injury to self, your blade, and expend all that energy? For sport? Then people complain about damage to their blade or the knife isn’t good at batoning. How about you get the right tool for the job, say, a hatchet? I’ve built countless natural fires in the bush and never once made feather sticks or felt the need to beat the hell out of my knife. I guess guys like fiddling with their wood. Lol. Anyway, without a doubt, the Joker Lynx is the best damn all around knife for the money!✌️
Let people do what they want with their knife.
I can say I'm 55 was a boyscout and a army Ranger. I was even part of Ranger school desert phase. Years of camping, hunting, and fishing. The only time I batoned wood we had a new scout master. I was chopping wood. He got scared and took our ax. He later found out my parents house was heated by wood. We split wood all year long. I understand batoning for a test. But youtubers acts like it's a skill, a requirement of some kind. I don't even use a ax unless we have to feed a stove. A saw and a small knife is my SOP I really don't understand it. An they will defend this insanity with all kinds of crazy.
Nice knife. Close ups would be nice
I hope an emergency room is close by
Gnats are protein. So are beetles

Nice piece my man 👍👍🇺🇸
Yes excellent picture, and sound is outstanding.
Thanks for the Odenwolf discount code. Just ordered a nice haul. The camera looks great.
How can I get this
Amazon for either Search odenwolf mini 2 or morakniv eldris
Buy it lol
New sub here. I am recently retired and I'm getting back into knife collecting. Well not really collecting, but gatherings a few for my grand boys after I'm gone. I won't leave them junk, so I subscribe to channels to see what is the best blades for the money. Thanks .
Are those legal
@@Casuall_gamer I don't know if they are legal to carry. I have to do some research. But when I know I'll pass it on.

Youd have a hard enough time telling 1075 from 3v in actual use. 1075 is a great steel. The older and more experienced i get, the less of a steel snob i become. Weve seen 1095 chop through steel pans and its not even a very tough steel. How tough do we need a knife to be really? Great knives and video 👍
isn't the quality worse on the tai pan since that cold steel gone bad
@@punisher288 not really. I was really impressed with how even the grind was along with the fit and finish. But it seems they took care of the problems. Only the future will tell.
hey I know your channel is knifes , but there are two of us wanting to join Bates .
@@SemiErnie Bates?
Yeah buddy 👍👍🇺🇸
Check out the Architect Knives 6.5 in cpm 3v. You won't be disappointed.
Girl Dad problems, I can relate 😂. Nice knife. For 50 dolla, best boot knife Ive had and still have is the Drop Forged Boot Knife from Cold Steel. Lets see some bladed shorts by your bike bro 👊👍👍🇺🇸
@@TheGunsNBlades oh why didnt I think of that. Awesome idea. 👍 I will definitely make some shorts with the bike. I'm in the process of modifying the drop forged.
The Tops Moccasin Ranger has been a favorite of mine for years (with a few mod’s) but choking back to chop is no fun. The most functional Tops tool I’ve tried is the Longhorn, it works great, again I stripped and polished it, ground a flat spine and had it Kydex’d. Definitely better value out there today...
I like your design...I too have been on the same quest for year’s trying many knives. The lightest I go is a Fallkniven S1 or Bark River Aurora 2 and a Bacho Laplander saw in summer. When colder weather approaches everything gets bigger. My go to’s have remained the Fallkniven A1 and Bark River’s 3V Bravo 2 for year’s. I tend not to like to carry knives over 1 pound. That 12-13oz range is my sweet spot with a 6” usable edge. I’m kinda liking the Architect 6.5 in 3V is getting me close but I’m already wanting to eliminate the drop point by grinding down the spine. It deflects batons and could use a better balance...I’ve been waiting years for Bark River to come back out with the Squad Leader 2 and Bravo Surviver...
You need new teeth health is everything your a mess dude
Did someone say there will be an Operator 7 available for sale soon? 😂
@@TheGunsNBlades lol not yet still not shore on it. If so I will make a video on it.
I gotta say my experience with Tops isn't the same as youtube fanboys. The two knives ive tried i gave away. Awful grinds way to thick behind the edge. Extremely high price for 1095. Im to the point im making my own instead of paying $200 for basic carbon steel. I really use 4-5 in blades the most. Im starting a few puukko handles i just got a BPS Aura for $60 to the door. I also wanna put another handle on a 16in tramontina.
@@richardhenry1969 nice and good luck with your projects. I left ve modifying to fit my needs. And thanks for the input.
I agree on edge, my apache dawn and outpost command was bad until I convexed both blade edges
My ultimate survial would be the work tuff gear pwb-9, busse through raider for me. Or the tops storm vector . But the op7 does well to
