This old school stuff blows me away and im a sucker for chrome silver stuff
My god, this made me realize how many Western sets I owned as a kid: 11:48 Sheriff's Office (was the center piece of my "town" - and actually the only building LOL) 12:42 Sheriff 13:01 Bandit 13:26 Two Cowboys (one with cool spurs) 13:45 Two Yankee Soldiers (one being a general with a silver sabre) 14:05 Yankee Cavalry Patrol 15:27 Yankee Artillery 14:47 Buffalo Hunt 16:11 Mexican with Guitar (not sure I owned that one, but feels familiar) 16:20 Carriage 16:39 Train with Wagons (one of my favourite Playmobil sets of all time besides the castle of that time) 16:41 Bandits with Vultures (such a cool set) 16:53 Trapper 17:03 Cowboy with Life Stock 17:15 Native Americans with Mohawk caps (I hated that you couldn't put them on horseback because of their belts, but other than that these guys looked so cool!) 17:25 Native American Family With Dog (I'm not sure I owned this, but the yellow tunic of the man feels familiar) 17:37 Native American Village (what a beautiful set! Can't get any better than this! I played the shit out of that set!) 17:48 Native American Chief 18:00 Trapper and Native American With Canoe 18:22 Winnetou!!!!!! (I didn't own this set, but I never realized Playmobil made a Winnetou set! You immiediately recognize him if you know the novels and movies about the Apache Winnetou. PLAYMOBIL really knows what they're doing!) 18:35 Sadly, all the following sets I only saw in catalogues. It was at that time that I started to lose interest in PLAYMOBIL and gravitated more towards Lego or Ninja Turtles. But the sets that are following are - to me - the best series of Western sets PLAYMOBIL ever released: The details on the figures and play sets, by that time, had reached a perfect level (without overdoing it). You can see how PLAYMOBIL started out very plain in the 70s, then, in the 80s, they added rotating hands and accessories, then, by the 90s, they added shoe molds and reached perfection. THANK YOU PLAYMOBIL (and THANK YOU to this channel!!!!) for all the good memories! 28:38 How time flies!!! I bought this set (Wagon Ambush) last Christmas (2023) for my nephew. The circle repeats. Eventually, he will sit in front of a video and become all nostalgic about his own Western sets.
You were a lucky child! I hope you still save them in good conditions, there are some iconic references in your collection! Regards
I got a lot of the early sets. After 12:17 I was no longer into kids toys. So everything from then on was nothing I possessed and played with. But I bought some of the later sets as an adult and still have them somewhere stored in boxes. After 26:47 it just hasn't the look and feel of the basic Playmobil sets I played with in my childhood.
I had the old version of the knight the Red one but I lost it
I want chrome armors back!!!
From 12:08 to the end its shitty fantasy things, go back to realistic knights !!!
wow, cool, thanks a lot for the video!!
Magnifique,que de souvenirs.👍👍
Ich habe mal mitgezählt wie viele Sets ich habe, bin auf 101 Sets gekommen. LG

Γιώργο τέλεια τα playmobil
I loved the old sets of Playmobil en Lego, although I had not many. There was no magic or dragons, most sets were far more realistic than the baby stuff nowadays, and there was no political correctness (I remember a construction worker who had a crate of beer and some beer bottles, canons and other weaponry looked like the real stuff).
And now we have well... novelmore:(
@@filipbrodka9347 I believe that they will fix the situation, and sets 2000 will come into fashion again…
@@neposak You know I believe that they just want to make money and they dont make playmobils with love just like Hans beck used to do.
To be honest, most of my childhood was fantasizing about playing wit the Western sets of Playmobil as we had little money and I only had a few set/figurines: 7:53, 11:11, 13:22, 13:45, and a few solo figurines. But the yearly catalogues showed all the bigger sets and gave some diorama's and that was enough for trips down fantasy lane to create my own stories and adventures.
Same feeling here.
I was lucky enough that I got a western showroom model from a toystore, it was glued on plastified colored multiplex, getting the glue of was quite easy. It had the Sheriff building 19:48 and Saloon 20:36 and some characters, plants, animals, etc. Also had 12:44 13:01 13:26 15:49 17:50 18:12 19:07 20:12 20:25 20:58 21:41
