The lose-wording on the Bashire card is what makes it useful. If it was a two point card, it would be good. O'brien potentially gives a use to ships with attack cancellation. But the cost stops you buolding them. You can get nack discard cards.

All the discount cards were quite expensive. Defeated the point of them. If this pack came with cloaked mines, it would have sold better.

Both early crusher cards depended on having good tech cards they are probably both more useful with the new tech we have.

Graviton beam should have been 4 dice. 'Disable'. Dicard against borg for the extra dice. Just so it's still an improvement on your primary, even if you're not against Borg.

Hilarious. 😂 A lot of cards deployed were around from the very earliest waves. Auto destruct. Stab at thee. When I messed about with Auto destruct, it was a galaxy class with Picard 6. Using Betor was very cool. Inversion wave. Excellent. 😂

I did not seek this out because of all the 5 point+ discards. I tend not to use them, too. As you rightly say, the word 'Action' spoils the ship ability. So many cards would be playable if they just deleted the word action. It was very frustrating.

It's worth noting the original Changs BOP was a Bird of Prey class, not a B'rel, and they could have continued that here. To distinguish the old movie BOP from the B'rel. I had no issue with that.

Sadly, I missed this pack. Love the movie, so I would love to acquire it.

The original ability of the Reliant is very decent. I like to run it with Riker 7 from hathaway . It hits like a galaxy at range 1 with 180 arcs and a better dial. This one's just not quite as good. But both are now over costed at 20sp. Should probably be 14 sp in line with Tian a men. This Khan is Good. Compare all those talents to type 10 phasers at 3 points. No downsides. They just won't see play now. Love the Ceti Eel. Very nice card. Thematic, but most cards are out of date. Won't see the table.

Perhaps it's just because we didn't see the cloaked mine abuse other groups did, but this pack always kinda disappointed me.

I agree 100% on cloaked mines. Ship unique is the right fix. Possibly make them 5 points. Antimatter mines never get played. They are 5 points.

The fact that they wrote Kurn can have one klingon elite talent without just giving him a talent slot underlines some of the issues this game had. 😂 It's just messy. We waited ages for one if these.

I am also unable to access the fleet importation function for Utopia. It's available in the Attack Wing table on Steam Workshop, but not the Alliance table. I tried copy/pasting the element over but that didn't work. Is there a newer version of the Alliance table available that enables the fleet building function?

Unfortunately the volume level of your audio recording is very, very low, with integrated speakers it is really hard to even understand what you are saying... :-/

I really wanted to watch this, but the differences in volume between the people makes that really difficult/impossible. I can’t kept the volume reasonable and hear the second person. I can’t turn the volume up high enough to hear the second person because then the speakers are exploding when the first person talks. Can you please find a way to get the volume levels similar so that people can hear the conversation and enjoy the video. I really think it would be a fun video to watch if I could hear what’s going on.

Hey man , thanks much for the information you could share. This is great news and really makes me happy. I think the biggest issue with attack wing is people not knowing what is happening with it and when it’s happening. Can’t wait to see more information when it happens.

Always thought there was at least one more thing coming to STAW because of no Luna class ship in game even though it looks to be some icons on cards for it. Also hoping for a Norway class.

The price alone as a starter kind of puts me off for Into the Unknown - Attack Wing has a much cheaper entry point and it's a much older game. Should be the other way around... great news about attack wing!

This Khan is very nice, the ability to discount and hide upgrades is brilliant, him DNA encoded messages, Quark and Cryogenic stasis gives you a ship that is entirely hidden until you start using things. Ceti eel is expensive but was probably designed to be used as a 4sp hidden card with Khan. This Joachim is not as good as the OG version but is still ok

Hi, I think "Automated Distress Beacon" targets a ship "in your fleet" and not an opposing ship. It's meant to Reposition your ships on the other side of the board and not to screw over your opponent.

Have you done a video for ships of the line like this, if so I cannot find it. I'm really interested it what you would put on the USS Akira. Awesome video by the way, I'm going back to check out the rest. Thank you for all the effort you put into it.

Now that Porthos (the bestest boy) is here, put him Ezri and Phlox on a ship (preferably the NX-01) and you can use Archers ability to stack a load of free crew actions, throw Tuvok and new crew Riker on and you can make 4/5 actions a turn, re-enable them all with Phlox and then re-enable Phlox with Porthos. It makes any full fed ship an absolute beast of action economy

I used to pair the Benjamin Sisko that removes aux power at end of turn with Enterprise-E. It's not the most exciting combo, but it's solid if you want to make the E a gunboat.

Make more of these.

I do enjoy the Amar, it's ability can help you if you mess up an attack roll, and i like cpmboing it with the alliance operations officer, so that I'm getting a free Evade that I can spend for shield repair. The best thing in here apart from that is the standby torpedoes card. Combine that with secondary relays and some TT photons and you've got a nice gunboat. Barak can be nice, especially if you have someway of avoiding the enemy to get out of fire arc, or if you know your dead/the game is ending next turn, plus it could be on a rear firing shot as you fly away from them

Good looking pack, Orfil is a strange one and is realistically going to repair 1 hull a turn for an Aux. Could be good on the NX Enterprise as he can still act even with aux. The Graviton Beam is I think a card that is much more usable these days with the prevalence of Assimilated Intrepids. Plus it would be terrifying against the Assimilated D'deridex as it ignore the cloak. Thruster array is a useful tech for keeping the enemy in your firing arc, especially if you can fire first I like Wesley for the dual potential of his abilities, although yes he is a bit over costed.

Okay, question with variable pylons. Does this mean that an intrepid class can not move in turns. Reveal 1 bank and decrease speed by one.. now its speed is 0??? Thought that would be interesting to try!!!

Looking forwards to this, a chance to play with everything and to try the newer rules and cards.

Love Weapon Zero, but it desperately needs a recost. Still love it, and Kiaphet Amensor, version that lets you reroll defense blanks is my preferred captain, though Lore can be fun.

I do really love the Weapon Hero, an iteresting point is that the generic ship loses the Battlestations action from the action bar. But its s nice ship, white 2 turns on a large base ship is crazy movement, and it can have a lot of stuff on it.

You can see the old approach in evidence here: Shran placing an APT, Talas being a discard, Long Range Sensors being a disable. I think you could remove those penalties, keep the prices the same, and they'd fit right in with more modern cards.

I have been waiting for this ship! I love the Kumari and the Andorian battle cruiser in general. 180 arc with a 3 speed about face is amazing maneuverability.

I found this a good ship , was hard to find years away from release. If you can find it not paying too much over retail it’s worth it, especially if you have the motley fleet pack as they kind of want to play together.

Guilty pleasure this ship is for me. I liked the episode and like the feel of the cards in this pack. It’s not the best ship but it’s thematically sound , could be better , but using it brings this episode to memory for me so it works. I like it beyond reason but I’m a sucker for the fluff of the game so sue me. An underrated expansion imo. It’s a fun ship and packed with fed crew.

It’s an ok ship if you’re collecting for completion sake otherwise I don’t get much from this pack , I have it but it’s a firm meh.

I like the thoughts and it’s good to see it for this pack. If I had one wish it would be for some more of these packs for the thin factions. The federation I feel doesn’t need anymore love , they are living very large at the moment with ships and options at this point. We need more work for kazon for sure and some other groups. I’d also love to see another revised box for the kelvin time line as it’s the only faction pack I never picked up. Both would be some good stuff for newer players. Another independent pack and some mirror universe love would be great.

The graviton field generator has a nice (niche) use in re-enableing use of some abilities that require shields. If something has a "when you take damage to the shields or when defending if you have active shields"... Then it allows you to raise them again temporarily. Plus it can be done as well as an Evade as it's not an action. So you can roll up with your actions and then throw this out for an additional point of durability for the attack. Bochra is an amazing captain, especially now we have cooler and more frequently used Scout ships. Plus Covert mission, while expensive is a nice extra kick. Pair it with disruptor beams and then use the covert mission, and you've got 8 dice, that you have built up passively, the only action is to add the dice. Or use a 360 weapon such as ventral disruptors or Dorsal phasers. Not a fan of Pardek, or any of those expensive "we both can't attack each other" cards. They just seem a bit lackluster, but they do have some niche use in limited attack cancellations, maybe combined with Sarek or Kamarag because you can then either block another ship from firing at you or prevent the targeted ships from killing you if they have the drop on you

Graviton Field Generator just seems like another ability that is basically just, 'this is a super complicated way to give you an evade token' that seems to show up way way too often in the game. Bochra seems neat, but I always struggle with finding a reason for having a scout ship in my fleet.
