I saw last night's game...Wow. I know JD is being compared to LJackson and/or PMahomes. We certainly need him to be close to what those two Qbs provide.. If he can't then there is ZERO CHANCE this team will EVER compete on a level close to that of the Ravens or the Chiefs. The Commanders defense is a mix and match assembly of decent/good players, but they BARELY played together or at all in the preseason. You cannot flip a switch in today's NFL and expect greatness...too many times we fans have been told how great our defense would be, only to watch them be a joke. I DO NOT expect a win this Sunday, but I hope to see JD not look overwhelmed and show why he was the #2 pick. And to be honest, I have ZERO CLUE as to what we'll see with the Commanders defense...But I'm hopeful Dan Quinn will get the defense to play better

This roster is majorly improved from this time last season. Even with no Young/Sweat at the DE spots, I like what we have there now. Armstrong is a good player who won't have to play too many snaps with players like Dante Fowler Jr and Ferrell being there as a pass rush specialist and a very good run defender on certain downs. Also, I expect a LOT of packages that will use Allen/Payne/Newton playing DE and will have Fowler Jr playing OLB and Jamin Davis also playing multiple positions. That helps me feel better about the talent and depth along the DL & front 7. Dan Quinn is very creative using players in different roles and in an effective way. I dont think enough fans look at it that way and are only focusing on how the basic base front will look when that will only be the case less than 50% or so of the time. Payne and Allen have both lost weight and are looking more lean which is how DQ likes his DTs/DEs to be better pass rushers and I think we'll see more of a 2022 Payne when he got those 11.5 sacks and was an absolute menace against the run and pass. The defense should be more than fine and will be leaned on HEAVILY until JD5 and the offense start to gel more and more throughout the season.

Logan has that look on his face that screams to me "who gives a shit?" 😂😂😂 I'm sure that's not the actual case but it just comes off that way to me 😂 And look at Craig Hoffman with the backwards cap! A young DQ in the works here!

Craig you keep trying to figure out the coach and the GM thoughts of why the chose who they did but you seem to favor players and I noticed that Logan sees it too by reminding you that it's a team decision not how the last coach did it with how he felt about certain players...

My $.02 of "what's best for the team" means for AP and DQ: People, who are and have: 0-Competitors (To quote DQ: "That's top of the pile".) 1-Personal character (captains on college teams, no baggage, integrity, veterans who have proven themselves ....) 2-Certain physical traits (Tall, long, strong, fast, play violent, sense of urgency.....). 3-Mental acuity. In other words, if these moves (draft, fa, trades, waivers....) they make are "best for the team", that translates to me as these guys have those (4) things mentioned above, as well as fill a position of need now and in the future.

Any move they make has got to be better than what we had for the last twenty years are so.
