I bought one of these last week. I could not install the blade. No what no matter what I did I couldn't get it to clip into the slot that holds the blade. I just threw the whole thing out. For 12 bucks in for me it wasn't worth driving all the way back to the hardware store.
i wasnt a fan of the quick change either end up returning mine and buying a fastback
I just got mine installed after watching a few YT videos. You need to slide the slider to the top position, press the top button very hard, and slide in the blade on top, pressing slightly upwards so the knife can "grab" the notches of the knife
I got the blades out of the storage compartment, but could not insert it properly! these things are a pain

I just tried to use my BRAND new FS111 and within 20 mins of using it that dang line broke right inside like you said!!! And then had a hard time getting it to feed again. Thank you for the recommendation for a different head...
No prob Kate. I had the same problem just remember to use the spacer that the head comes with also switch the line at the moment I'm using black diamond from echo. but gator line works great to.
@@thereviewguy5439 The trick to stop the line from constantly breaking, is to remove the spool cover and spray the line that's already wrapped on the spool with WD-40. I got that tip from a RUclips video, and it completely solved the problem.
Pos product impossible to install blade
Just bought this and couldn’t get blade out. Returning it tomorrow.
I got the same one piece of junk I can’t get the blade in finally in but doesn’t detract now!! Explains why it was made in China! I’m taking the darn thing back! 😡
Need close up so we can see what you are doing, I couldn’t tell how you properly inserted the blade. Mine was hard to open and close. Appreciate the effort.
