Rose Creek Gem Mine is located just inside of the Rose Creek Campground in Franklin, North Carolina. This gem mine offers it's visitors the opportunity to dig inside of their "tunnels" for native rubies and sapphires. Or if you prefer, they also offer a variety of salted buckets. The sluice on site is clean and nicely shaded, and the staff was super friendly! Be sure to check out the gift shop, it has an amazing display of crystals and minerals on display and for sale. We really had a great time at this little mine and especially enjoyed cracking open a few geodes with Kim's help.
