Hiking A Private Trail At Night On A 30 Acer Property In North Carolina
During our stay on this awesome 30-acre property, we had ample trails to choose from and so many areas to explore! Just to mix it up a bit, we decided to explore this one in the dark of the night. It was certainly a different experience, making our way through the tight turns and over and around downed tree limbs and branches. Being able to see only as far as your flashlight allows can be a bit spooky, especially when you start hearing noises around you that you can't quite identify. We were sure to stay alert just in case any big hungry cats happened to be in the area! All in all, we had a great hike, and I am glad we took the opportunity to check it out!

First Time Gold Panning In North Carolina At Cove Creek
Просмотров 80416 часов назад
We have always been a little intrigued with gold panning but had not yet tried our luck with it. On this adventure, we meet up with some friends who had been panning for gold in the area. The weather was absolutely perfect! And being surrounded by nature in the middle of a beautiful creek was certainly an enjoyable way to spend the day! #goldpannning #nature #creek #explore
Hiking The Little Bradley Falls Trail In Saluda North Carolina
Просмотров 3814 дней назад
The Little Bradley Falls trail is a fun and unique trail that takes hikers through the Green River Game Lands to a gorgeous 50-foot waterfall. The trail is about one mile long and is considered a moderate out and back hike. There are red blazes that mark the way as you make your way along the trail. Also, there are two areas where you will need to cross the creek. We recommend wearing water sho...

Panning for gold and excited about garnets?
I know right! This was our first time trying to pan for gold so it was cool to find the Garnets!
If its that rich you all better learn how to pan ! 😅😂hahaha
We don't know anything about panning gold! We had fun but we didn't find any gold.
@@ScottandLauren Happy new year folks its a great video and fun to be in the creek.
Happy New Year 🎊
@ScottandLauren My son and I mine in Alaska, we have seen some impressive pans , seen a sheet cake pan with 800 ounce in nome , that was exciting ! Tom Massey has some great videos gpaa on gold discovery in Alaska.... it all starts with a gold pan and ends with a gold pan no matter theirs always fines to clean up in gold .
Just commented on the creek run video of the gem mine in hiddenite, glad to see yall had already visited. 👍
Knew exactly where yall were, yall was in my home town. Did yall chk out the log cabin while yall were there?. Also theres a gem mine in hiddenite up off hwy 90 just one more exit back west.
We checked out the homestead across the street if that's the cabin you're talking about. We would like to come back sometime soon though so if we missed something we can check it out next time!
Hello Scott and Lauren. As always I watch just about all of your videos and enjoy them a great deal. This particular video though needs a mention that this particular mime is offering buckets that are " salted " which means the owner of the mine adds various gem minerals to the bucket along with soil and non-valuable rock. That's all well and good as long as the mine owner has a statement somewhere letting people know that these buckets do not contain material from the area where all of these various gem minerals are common. Sometimes they will use the word, enriched but most people don't know what that means. It's a fun experience for a family, however, and I'm well aware that many people go to roadside mines with flumes and do screenings like this and have a great deal of fun. It also turns on kids to geology and gemology and has great educational value for the whole family as well as vacation fun. I just think it might have been good if you mentioned that in your video so that people understand that there are not places where one can just scoop up a load of gravel and find all kinds of gemstones like this. Also most of these gemstones can be bought online for as little as $8 or $10 per pound. The one mineral you had difficulty identifying Scott, the one with the peacock-like iridescent colors across its face was labradorite. Keep making your great videos but I think it's a good idea to mention things like salting to your viewers. Also something you might want to add to your full length videos would be the date and in some cases the location as many of us would find that very helpful. Keep digging, keep sharing your videos, and by all means keep having fun.
Do you know how far it is from the road where you stopped to the top where you ended up looking for rocks? I reached the top on Monday but I haven’t been able to find out how far that rocky trail actually is in feet or miles…
Yeah, not sure how far it is. I think we got lucky we found it ourselves. It sure felt like at least a mile up that mountain!
Beautiful rocks! How hard was it to find material of this calibrr at the site?
Very easy! It's a rock quarry that lets people come out on Sunday and collect.
Good video keep it up
Thank you!
That turned out to be a pretty good one, got it sitting in the plant window now, thanks guys 🙏
We are glad you like it!
👍
Great nice Music nice adventure Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful new Rockhound Stuff ! I just discovered your channel and you do realy well. Nice Crystals you found there. Thanks for share and greetings from Germany

Awsome finds. Keep on digging from Franklin NC.
Thank You! We love Franklin North Carolina!
Hey, isn’t that my birthday crystal??? Thanks again guys, that was a fun day
That's the one! It was a fun day! We're looking forward to seeing ya'll at the next group dig.
@ we might not make it to the Wright dig , I would like to but it’s our 10th anniversary of getting together the day before, so it’s gonna kinda hinge on what we get into that Friday
I can understand that! Happy early Anniversary!
Great video folks
Thank You!
I love a big garnet… went to a dig this past weekend & didn’t have much luck, I hope the Arkansas trip was good
Hate you didn't have much luck but sometimes that's how it goes. We did pretty good and we did have a blast for sure!
What a fun adventure. Thanks for taking us along for the fun and doing all the hard work for us. Great finds 🎉
Thanks for watching! We had a blast.
Which one of the ruby digs would you say you did better at? We still haven’t been up there to check any out
The biggest bang for your buck is probably going to be the Mason Mountain Mine.
Nice to see the big boulder still in the pit.
I'll never forget seeing the huge Rubies we found in Cherokee in 1959
I have heard that it was a rockhounds dream back then.
@@ScottandLauren I don't know about that but I found Rubies as big as my fist, back then.
👍nice
Sick
Dang, that’s a freaking honker if I’ve ever seen one 👍🔥
Thanks! It was definitely bigger than what we were expecting to find.
Do you know anyone who facets?
I absolutely love garnet I live in ct and there is a very quiet spot where I sit and sift
That's Awesome! Everyone needs a quiet place.
Where was the location of the find?
This was found in licolnton Georgia at Graves Mountain.
A hillbilly with a hair lip😂
👍✌️
We still haven’t been able to get after the rubies yet, looks like a good time
We had a great time and the property there is beautiful!
YUM!
Dang, those steaks over the fire looked amazing, I haven’t been there yet & didn’t realize they had a campground there too
Thanks! The campground is actually owned by different people. It's a pretty nice campground though!
Max didn't seem to be struggling at all!
Yeah he had his 4 low locked in😆
Where is this location at?
Lexington County, South Carolina
Very nice e
Thanks!
Did anykne see the face to the left?
I didn't see that! I will have to check it out!
@@ScottandLauren it's on the rock nose eyes
Cheeks and mouth
Chin..looks like a native face any way they are beautiful
I'm down in there somewhere. We get our NPR signal from near there.
I was there a month ago. What a gorgeous place! I've wondered how they've fared in Franklin, Sylva, and Dillsboro as well.
We have spoken to a few people in Franklin, and things weren't too terrible for them. They certainly have a long road ahead of them.
Thank you for the beautiful view, we have a few ourselves here at Big Bend Ranch State Park....a Ranger says hi.
Hello! Glad you enjoyed the views and thanks for watching! Looks like we need to take a trip to Texas 🤩
Ive been trying to find videos on how this sylva, Dillsboro all the way out to this area did. I know the river goes through all those towns.
Many areas seem to be recovering quickly, but some areas will certainly take some time to get back to anything remotely normal. Here is an update from the Franklin Chamber of Commerce page on Facebook... facebook.com/share/p/xtrHMy6Q11udrkLp/
Awesome activity with the beloved family ❤❤
When I worked at the NRA National Park Service we were told to fill these caves under the ok-a-bah marina bldg with cement and the caves had a whole lot of crystals in them.
That's crazy! I guess they didn't want anyone getting to them. Lol! I'm guessing safety reasons?
Great scores, I got some good news on a spot today!!!
Cool Deal! I'll be in touch 👍
That’s a cool one, I got a little news on a spot I found a while back
It's beautiful like Lauren 🤩
Thank you! 😊
❤😊wicked find congratulations 🎉
Thank You!
This stuff looks amazing!
Thank you!
Hey there, it’s Jesse. Everybody is onboard with the RUclips channel
Does felspar polish well?
The pieces I've seen seem to but we've never polished any ourselves.
Absolutely gorgeous work my friend, shots are so nicely composed!
Thank You! Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
