    You’re an idiot! My Nissan frontier was doing the same thing and I sprayed some lubricant on the rubber stoppers and I also turned them so it tightened the hood and no more squeaky sounds! Electrical tape is not the issue! I can’t believe you think you solved the issue?

    This might be a weird question but on a day of it were like 20c - 25c what temps to most engine bays get too? I have found abs can be good for 100c. Which I don’t believe my engine bay has ever felt that hot. And with the weather lately in Australia iv touched metal parts of my pod filter and it’s not even hot to touch. Also iv seen that ASA ApolloX is good

    • @EndMotive
      @EndMotive 6 дней назад

      I do believe I tested the under hood temps in the summer but I can not remember what they were. I lived in Las Vegas which hits 118f (48c) in the summers and it did just fine with the heat, well...it was maybe a little soft but not enough to cause issues. ApolloX or a cf enforced filament would probably be a better choice though. The radiant heat is high in the bay, but this part is also continually drawing ambient air through it.

    Great video, you're about 3 months ahead of me with my '76 280z and VQ35HR. (finished a VQ swapped 620 and KA24e 510 in my stable). I've already replaced the engine frame rails with .120 wall square tube, so the mounts should weld directly for me. I removed my hood release and am going with hatches. Not ideal IMO, but makes the engine bay a little cleaner. Hexa Garage (or something similar) will make your wiring MUCH easier.

    • @EndMotive
      @EndMotive 2 месяца назад

      I don't think i have seen it done with the length of the tube, but they make "swirl" plates that go either into the neck of the throttle body or behind the air filter to spin the air like you are saying...they usually add turbulence and hurt airflow, but a tube with smooth "rifling" transitions might be better than those.
