500th subscriber here! I watched the entire video because I'm autistic
Looks like the Tops Lioness but also want to say it also looks like another Tops...the Californian????? Im not looking up pics before i type this, i just dont have the time. But i do have time to type out long responses, regardless. Anyway, itsa sweet look tool for STABBY STABBY
Wow…..Worse review on RUclips
The cocobolo looks like a retro weapon, like the colt revolvers from 19th century, hence my choice.
@@cecogenow2543 Hmm, interesting comparison, but now that you mention it, I can see the similarities. You must be a firearm enthusiast. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Put a thin static cord through the Hideout sheath and carry it anywhere on your waist.
@@michaelschaffer9165 Great idea! Thanks.
That looks good!
@@JustineWiniker A blast from the past. 😊
If I recall, the watch opener is for watches that don’t have screws and have a twist off backing. Also, victorinox before they used LCD displays had quartz watches built into the scales, and I THINK that’s what the watch opener knife is for
Ah yes, some analog watch cases have a large flathead screwdriver-like groove on the back to twist open the case back. I haven’t worn an analog watch in such a long time that I had forgotten about that groove. Also, if I recall correctly, some case backs pop off so the watch opener helps with that. Thanks for your input.
It’s a nice knife but it’s too expensive. You can get so many more options for that price. I’d be willing to pay $50 at most.
Man, I didn’t know they stopped selling them in 2020 that sucks! This thing seems like a good companion for my Fallkniven A1 Pro or S1 Pro out in the woods. Fortunately there still should be plenty in essentially brand new condition on the market. Wonder why? The OTF Infidel has been selling since like 2005, I guess the fixed blade version just wasn’t selling too hot.
Is that standard packaging? I’m in Australia and we usually get shafted when it comes to pretty boxing etc..
Yep, standard packaging. As I recall, that’s how every Boker I’ve purchased has been packaged. This is from Boker USA so different divisions may package their knives differently.
Who wants to watch someone open packaging? Get the knives ready before you start filming. If you want to review a knife do so. No one is interested in watching you open boxes.
Who wants to watch a woman taking off her clothes? Just have her naked before recording the video. If you want to record naked women, then do so. No one is interested in watching women take of their clothes. By the way, thousands of unboxing videos watched on the internet say otherwise. It’s an extremely common format. It’s part reaction video, and part show and tell. Take care.
Question I noticed you were opening it pretty slow , were you able to flick it out fast or Is stiff?
I’m not a skilled knife flipper/flicker because I don’t practice it, so it was largely me rather than the knife, though it did have very slight new knife stiffness, and being a bit on the smaller size for my XL hands made it slightly more difficult too.
I just got the cocobolo mini. It didn’t feel as sharp. What do you guys think? Is it because the sharpened part of the blade is not as wide as other blades?
The number is on the back of the flipper. Mine is 166/200. Peace
Thank you. I realized it after reviewing the video. I don’t know how I overlooked it after it was literally facing me several times. Lol Mine is 194/200.
They're beautiful, but what are they good for other than opening letters and packages?
They’re good for anything that people carry many other pocket knifes for. And they’re also just good as pocket jewelry to carry because you like it.
@@BloodGrooveKnives - OK. Thanks.
This is a settle knife. As in an expensive object we settle for when the knife we actually want isn’t available. Consumerism. Not hating, I’m certainly guilty of it myself.
I understand your point, but I disagree. I wanted this knife, so I got this knife. I try to avoid “settle” knives because I’ll still be unhappy about not getting the knife I truly wanted. I actually don’t have a single “settle” knife in my collection. I can only think of three knives that I wanted that I missed out on, and only one of those was because of its prohibitive price. The other two I hemmed-and-hawed about buying them too long and someone else bought them before I decided whether I was willing to spend the money on them.
The Kwaiken is a Burnley design.
Yep, I probably called it the Kwaiken because that’s the design style, but Jake calls his version the Kwaiback.
nice video...)
Great way to slice off yer Finger
2:18 Hello! What was that little fixed blade you opened the cold steel box with? I love that blade shape! Great video, btw! 👍👍
Hi, Shawn. That’s a Jerry Moen Mongoose with a recurve blade. It’s one of my favorite blade shapes. It’s a custom production knife that’s made in both a fixed blade and flipper. If you should ever search for one, take care to not confuse it with his Reate produced Mongoose front flipper, which shares its name, but the blade is shaped differently. Sorry for the delayed reply.
@@BloodGrooveKnives Thank you very much! I appreciate the info!
Looks like the newer model.....for a small kneck knife the double edged blade is a much better design than a single edge....
I got the full size titanium and love my choice. Fine craftsmanship, I like the extra heft over the other options. Enough weight to make it feel like a quality piece but not too heavy for its style. PS. I was embarrassed for this guy not having strong enough fingers. Cringe. No issues deploying mine buttery smooth
You are a knife guy why do you need scissors 1:25
3.07 before we see the knife😮
thanks 4 wasting my time with this shit..
What pisses me off is that the materials used to make the clinch pick are less than the price of the product wtf dude u could at least price it a Lil bit more reasonably
Oh My Gosh!!! You took something that should have been 10 minutes long & turned it into eternity. I just want to know all the tools functions. That's all. 5 minutes is all I could stand.
If you just wanted to know all the tools functions, then why did you click on a 30 minute video? Better yet, why didn’t you just read the manufacturer’s website? Regardless, thanks for watching, maybe you’ll like another video better. 🤷♂️
im assuming you certainly have it figured out by now, but youre squeezing the lockbar when youre trying to flip it. Less pressure on the lockbar. grip it lower on the frame or use your pinky and ring finger to press at the end of the pocket clip. You can also just thumb flip it really easily!
I have one question: It's not spring assisted, right?
Nope, not spring assisted.
Very cool. Aluminum handle though, not G10. 😉
Really? Wow, cool, just verified it. It doesn’t seem like it is, maybe they coat it. 🤷♂️ Thanks for letting me know.
Little Dvalin is better.
OMG I just found this video! I know this is now a year old, but holy cow did you just make my day! I literally cannot stop smiling.
Hey, Jay, glad to hear it. I’m actually wearing your shirt right now, lol.
Just got my bronze edition of the Viper Hug, and I’m impressed! I knew the specs, but still, it’s bigger than expected, which is good. I was looking for SOLID bronze scales (w/o liners), and this knife has them! I LOVE the long (3.125”), thin, M390 sheepsfoot blade, which is crowned along the top edge, continuous with the long, crowned backspacer. I literally like everything about this knife, everything! But I do rather wish it had a clip, maybe of the wire variety. This knife is as big as my Hinderer XM-18, and heavier. It could use a little pocket suspension! Nevertheless, a beautiful knife I will be proud to own. As an aside, I have just discovered that in my state, MA, the knife laws are mostly very reasonable, IMHO, restricting carry but not possession, and then restricting only knives intended for violence, or when used for violence, also has an obscure law banning thumb studs! Unbelievable, but until something is done about that, I can at least carry THIS knife without question of legally…
I’ve had some lion steel before and is in my collection however I found the viper wolf to be a beautiful piece of art and practicality.
Ok. I have the next one down and this was really painful to watch. Tools were missed here and no prior homework done to understand the tool before actually pressing record.
Love the cocobolo! I love me some wood handles! Thanks for sharing your mail call with us! Cheers, Kimmers and Jerbs #22ADAY I'll never quit quitting 👍🏼🇺🇸🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
stunning knife 👍👍very addictive and super expensive. i have four up to now , planning one more and that should be it, but damn i like the sai, thanks for sharing.
What are the dimensions?
The dvalin is really nice I had one but gave it to my nephew because he wouldn’t stop asking me for it. Just got a cold steel mini tac as a replacement but I’m gonna need another dvalin because it’s just awesome and scary looking for it’s small size
You could have actually learned the tool prior to making the video. Somewhat painful to watch.
No other Ugly People Done a Presentation of this Quality of this Model ".. 🐘💨💨💨
This is really good to spideyflick… it’s a little too addictive because the action is so good
Is it cheaper than xavt
I think your misidentifing it as a karambit because of what's called the ring that you put your pointer finger in
Thks it is beautiful i hesitate with kizer infinity
This style is new since 2021 i think
Beauty
Too much scissor time wasted.
Why are self defense weapons getting smaller and smaller (and less and less conspicuous) while attackers weapons are getting bigger and bigger. During the summer I wear spiked bracelets that go halfway down my forearms in winter I wear metal backed half gloves I also carry a metal cane. These are visual deterrents, plus I practice awareness and sensitivity, stay out of my personal space (which is 2-3ft of me) and don't touch me all of a sudden out of peripheral vision. Dose a Lion attack a porcupine, no.
Stricter laws. There are so many effective killing knives that are larger sized- some of us also want hidden weapons.
Wow, you’re definitely making a statement. Sometimes I think about carrying something conspicuous as a deterrent, but I worry it might invite unwanted attention too, kind of like the open or concealed carry handgun debate. Also, I don’t know enough about the thinking patterns of violent people to know if a conspicuous weapon would actually be a deterrent if worn by me. I look pretty easygoing rather than like a tough guy so it probably wouldn’t intimidate others.
@@BloodGrooveKnives You're obviously (by what you said) Not Gen X. Ditch the easy going, work on your attitude, use visualization, imagine you're meeting your daughters date for the first time & he looks like a low life thug. Easy going gose out the door then.
@@mountaintiger6945 Actually, I’m indeed Gen X. I’m just not an intimidating looking guy, I guess I’m just too good looking. 😂 But seriously, there’s enough tough guys and thugs about, I don’t need to try to look like one too. They don’t mess with me and I don’t mess with them. I realized long ago they prey on their own kind more than “civilians”, because they’re trying to prove to themselves and others how tough they are. I’m not a challenge to their fragile ego. To use an automotive analogy, I’d rather be a sleeper than a hot rod. Just minding my own business, but with unknown capabilities rather than someone everyone tries to race. Thanks for your concern.
You don’t seriously believe that we are going to think that package was mailed to you! You bought the knives at the store & then packaged them up your self in a priority mail pouch. There are no postal marks on your parcel. You have to be one of the worst knife reviewers I’ve ever seen!! I won’t waste my time watching anymore of your videos.
