Rain, the ponds, and a raven.

The power was out for a planned outage so the ponds were still and silent for once. Took the opportunity to film them in that state. The rain and the raven added a nice touch.

Dragging the phone scammers - and learning about the Internet!
Просмотров 95 лет назад
I tend to oscillate between laying into these scammers and calling them frauds and harasses for praying on people (mostly the elderly) and dragging out the phone call to see how long they'll go and what they'll say. Today was the latter, and I learned something new!

Introduction to the 1975 FIAT 124 Spider Convertible Restoration and EV Project

A little bit about the car, the history of the car in the family, and the long winding road ahead. This is a 1975 FIAT 124 Spider Convertible. #09889 built in June 1975. One of the last 1975 models built. It has a rebuilt 1980 Engine that was installed before 1982 when my mom initially bought the car. I haven't been able to confirm the exact model and number of the engine yet though. I may not ...

Had to give this a watch reading through Ken Kelsey’s Sometimes a Great Notion- amazing machine
Ken Kesey* I've been meaning to reading that book a long time ago. Denis Johnson's 'Train Dreams' got me here.
McLean Mill is only a couple hours away from where I live! But I've never been there!!
I just got 1981 spider, The convertible top does not stay fitted to underside of the rear anchor bar when I lower the top, I'm wondering if there is suppose to be anything glued to the underside of the vinyl top were it fits under the rear anchor bar, like a plastic bar , so it will stay fixed in place. do you see anything like that on your top? Can't find any videos showing that area of the top. thanks
You need to make sure that anchor bar is pushed down as low as it will go against the car. If you have enough open space, the top will slip right out. Whack the bar with a rubber mallet while loosening the securing screws
@@TheDan0131 thanks
Beautiful and thank you for keeping history alive but there is a working steam donkey in the Central California Mountains as well. I'd like to see if there are others! ruclips.net/video/cNrku8sgl6U/видео.html
Thumbs up for your vulnerability at :54.
Can you please ?
that used to be my car
Great video, thanks! I visited once and got to see the mill running, but not the steam donkey.
People have been so broken down by the old system that they truly believe being a slave is what will make them happy, theyre right , nothing is free, but how can you explain automation taking over? We were only meant to work for a couple million years until weve created a tool that would work for us so we as a human species can focus our time on more important things like space exploration and medicine, with overpopulation were going to have to do it, we need innovators but its hard when they are struggling just to pay rent and eat food, its 2020 and people are still starving, pathetic.
Hi, can I ask you where did you find the user Manual for the installation of the frame please? Regards, Marcello
Hi Marcello, I'm sorry I didn't see your comment before! I bought the repair manual on Ebay. "Fiat 124 Coupe, Spider, 2000, Repair Manual 1971-1984". If there is anything specific you'd like from the manual, I'm happy to scan a few pages and send by email. If you need it, let me know chrisale at gmail dot com
he's brainwashed
Did you film this with a sponge?
So amazing! Wish I could have been there to see it. History in the making for sure. Congratulations to the team!
Well done! Awesome
I would have been there if I'd known. I love this!!! No fumes!
Just bought an 82 with significant floor rust. I will be very interested in what you find and if you choose to repair it. What repair manual are you using?
Where can we find videos online of all the candidates?
Hi! Shaw recorded it but unfortunately it is not on their RUclips Channel. You should be able to view it on their Live cable channel. If those aren't an option, Sharie Minion's page on facebook is where I got this clip. They have the full live video there.
All fine and dandy but when are they gonna start putting some time and money into the 8427 ?
I was really happy to see this, my grandfather ran a Steam donkey like this as a young man in the cascades near Cle Elum WA back in the the 20's and 30's
Its just as forested as before just diffirent areas
Where's the place they're skiing down? What's the mountain called?
Very interesting....I had no clue as to what a steam donkey was. I saw the article about it winning a grant in the News-Review . This is a part of America worth preserving .
Wow! Stunning Video! You should upload this at AirVuz.com!! AirVuz is the best place for viewing and sharing drone footage!! It would be absolutely amazing if you got a chance to check out the AirVuz page! AirVuz is just like vimeo and youtube but specializes on primary drone footage!!
it's not my video so I probably shouldn't. Just something I found. If you're trying to get ahold of me btw... chrisale at gmail . com
Hi Chris, I'm going to visit Vancouver Island from the UK in August and would love to see and photograph the clear cut logging first hand. I don't suppose you'd know how possible this would be?
Hi there. Oh it is very easy as long as you are not afraid of getting your car a little dirty and bumpy on the unpaved, gravel logging roads. The roads in the forest are open to the public for the most part and you can easily see clear cuts up close or from afar from the main logging roads. If you come to Port Alberni in particular, it is surrounded by many logging roads and many clearcuts. Find me on twitter and maybe we can have coffee when you come. Cheers.
Hey Chris, thank you for replying. I'm probably going to drive from Nanaimo to Tofino in a rented mobile. Sounds like I might need to upgrade to an SUV! I love the idea of meeting up for coffee. Maybe I could stop by in Port Alberni?
Everyone is really happy something worthwhile will happen to that locomotive after all this while! Congrats!!
Cool video! Really good look at skating over large loads on beams. Neat!
Oldest Swimmer award goes to the guy at 1:33 in the White shirt! :) YEAH!
Awesome footage! Love those sounds. I've seen many of these at museums, but never one in action. So glad you posted this, thanks! :)

Awesome! Just awesome! So many people are missing out on the Alberni Valley!
