Traditional Russian Easter * Paskha & Kulich * Crochet

My version of traditional Russian Easter kulich and paskha (bread and a sculpted cheese) ... crocheted. I freehanded the kulich and all embellishments on the paskha, and used a pyramid pattern for the paskha shape. Pyramid shape by Storybook Crochet (paid pattern on Etsy). I do not own the rights to the music.

In all my years with cats, this is a first! Lula has been with us for 3 months & apparently loves to fetch. Of course, the toy is a fish taco, so what's not to love? (Sorry for the quality; I had to quickly grab my phone to catch her doing this.)

This is Snoopy. Snoopy has fresh water 5 feet away. Snoopy doesn't care; she would rather wedge her snoot into a vase & sip. Snoopy is a kitten, and NOBODY tells a kitten what she can't do. (I watched very closely to stop her in case she started to nibble at the plant. She's all good.)

Glad to hear some people in the USA realize the insanity of how cheap Ice Yarns actuallt are, INCLUDING the shipping. You did a great unboxing by the way! As there are larger and smaller skeins/cakes/balls, what I do is take the total shipping, divide it by the total weight (mentioned in the cart). Then I calculate how much it is per 100gr/3.5oz units, to match up with the size of each skein/cake/etc. The smaller skeins take a smaller chunk out of the shipping, so they're even cheaper. It's a bit more accurate this way. I am not in the USA and pay more shipping than you do and I buy lots of yarns from them!

I love Ice Yarns. So far, I have several colors of Picasso (including 2 of the rainbow colorways), a Rainbow that is dark jeweltones, magic glitz, magic light, snd a couple of the flamme duo. I also bought a couple solid acrylics that I wish I hadn't (nothing wrong with the yarn, just a bonehead mistake!), and some merino/silk blend yarns that I had to give away after another wool yarn gave me a horrible allergic reaction... 😢 Enjoy your goodies! 🐞

@@emilyharms456 yes, it's gorgeous! I made a rectangle shawl with the lighter Picasso Rainbow and have had tons of compliments on it (not exactly from my overwhelming skills...), but based primarily on the beautiful colorway. Enjoy your goodies! 🐞

I appreciate the ice yarn reviews. Every time I try and order ice yarn, they are out of what I want. Maybe I am not ordering from the right place. I was wondering if you have crocheted with the 30 prcnt cotton and 70 prcnt acrylic. Is it easier to crochet with? Cotton separates and is not always easy to work with.
