You can do all the things you say: save SH-4d patches to Oxi One patterns (using the PC parameter), as well as arrange songs and create modulations. @@loubang100 I do believe the team that worked on the device is no longer available or simply there is no room for any update… or both. The thing is that Roland releases a ton of gears every now and then, and I think it’hard to stay up to date for Roland themselves.

@malvinusmusic so, i have lots of gear and before i was syncinc them all...and ibwas feeling not good becouse i was not getting what i wanted...sp i decided to split stuff like two or three machines together for example... Syntakt with MegaFm... taking advantage of the poly in mega givin more power to syntakt.... Lxr02 with Digitone og..and it feels like i have a new Digitone with this setup :D etc etc...now im reporpusing my Digitakt with 0 voast and roland 303...but im missing a poly synth...and of course i dont have the budget to buy a Teo 5 or a big synth so i was searchibg for a good poly and the Roland Sh4d feels about right...tons of fx and sound design...but in the same time i remembered i always liked the Ambika from Mutable Instruments that Michigan Synths ( xena ) with smr filter sounds like a Juno...so this is the strugle now...from the fact i live far away and i dont have an option to try them personaly...have you try ambika and wpuld you suggeat me the Sh4d in my setup for Electro and Italodisco/space disco synth wave stuff. Also roland has fx and 60 voices...ambika its multitimbral and 6 voices no fx.... Thank you for your videos, you made me like alot the Sh4D. Great stuff from you always!

@radioblogtirana this is a lot of things going on, Mate! It's hard to tell you wether you should get an SH-4d or Ambika (that I never tried, btw). It's all about your expectations: SH-4d sounds pretty good, but it's not the loudest synth in the world unless you pair it with an OTO Boum or something like that. My two cents would rather be: watch as many vids as you can and try to figure out how different gear would fit in your setup. There's no better advice, imo. Unfortunately you can't use SH-4d's FX on external audio coming from another synth. The only thing you can do is sending audio in as a mixer (MIX IN on the rear side of the SH-4d). Thank you for your comment, very appreciated!

@malvinusmusic true, my only concern is that it looks like it's more difficult to create the type of sounds i like on the polybrute and sound design is not my strong suite. I'm better at playing. The iridium comes with far more sounds and there are thousands of presets available for it. I know they are completely different, but I like to spoil myself with a synth when it's a good year lol.

⁠​⁠@@MarianoPerezGet a good midi keyboard and a few good software synths. You’ll get much more range.

If we talk about Digitone II, compared to Iridium it lacks sampling and granular synthesis. It must also be said that Iridium is very well suited for sound design, while Digitone II offers a much more basic WAVETABLE and VIRTUAL ANALOG synthesis. In addition, Digitone II has a sequencer with 16 tracks and all the power of the Elektron world. It's all a matter of what you like the most.

I don't think of playing/composing as a way to achieve a goal, but rather as a way of feeling. I try to play with freedom, and try to make that freedom reach the listener. Thanks for your comment, very interesting!
