    Well my opinion they are raping the timber and not letting it grow they should not be cutting 3-in Timber and let it grow instead of cutting everything and destroying or auction we have to breathe that is the reason Timor is growing to take the pollution out of the air and they are cutting 3 inch Timber that is bullshit

    • @friesenbros

      I would think it could be but you’d have to ask someone smarter than me. I wasn’t involved in building this machine. In this particular machine the saw is driven by a hydraulic motor.

    Nice machine. I know this is an old video now, but I'm curious: I've seen longer logs stacked lengthwise unloaded by giant gantry cranes or those huge forklift log loaders, but when trucks are loaded in this direction how are they unloaded quickly at the mill? Thanks

    • @friesenbros
      @friesenbros 4 года назад

      There’s two ways I’ve seen it done. Either with a large swing machine with really long reach and a large grapple or a wheel loader with a huge grapple attachment on it instead of a bucket.

    Illegal to cut more than one tree at the time...Important that the branches be cut at the spot the tree was cut for the further growing and the seeds. And it thus much faster and less damage. What a fucking mess these pigs are doing there...They are leaving a big waste that take forever to grow again...They need three extra machines to cut the branches and logs what is leave a fire hazard too!

    • @texp87
      @texp87 7 лет назад

      These areas are replanted, and no it regrows pretty darn fast. crews come in and do rehab to most of these areas so they don't look that bad when done. Not to mention fire lines that are put around the job sites to keep fire danger down. I see all these keyboard cowboys on here that have never worked in the woods logging, but yet know everything about what goes on.

      probably higher throughput and less operators needed. (1 for the feller-buncher, 1 for the skidder, 1 for the stripper machine (don't know its designation) and 1 for the machine that cut the trunks to length. total 4 plus any truck drivers)

      We often buy property with standing timber on it and then sell it after harvesting it. The property in this video though is owned by a farmer. He wanted to clear the land for hayfield so we cut the wood for him and paid him for the wood.
