Hi, The camera has automatic flash, so if batteries are inside and working, the charge light on the back will come on when ready. If the charge light isn't coming on, then I'd suggest the flash is faulty, if everything else on the camera is working (shutter and motor etc).
Hello, when I open the back cover and press the shutter button to test the shutter if it’s let light inside or not ,it won’t open the shutter ,does it means it’s broke ? I mean It’s “shooting” but it’s not open to let light inside. Regards
With the sliding lens door open on the front, if you point the camera at a light and don't see any light when the shutter button is fired, and the shutter is jammed.
Hi, it sounds like the film hasn’t loaded successfully (the number will move to number 1 if correctly loaded). To resolve the issue, open the back and pull a little more of the film tip across the back to touch the far wall. Hopefully the film will catch the sprockets on next attempt and it will be good to go.
@@Sopworthjb Hi, thank you so much for answering right away!🙏🏻 I did as you said and indeed that was the issue, with the film that simply didn't catch the sprockets. I was terrorized of opening again the back and just ending up ruining the film. Now it seems to be working, though I don't know if the film I got (a Kodak ISO200) is actually the right one
Hi- what to do if it makes a whirring sound but still stuck on S? Tried the above fix and when opening the camera up again the film doesn’t move across the sprockets. Any ideas? Thanks
Hi, it sounds like the film has yet to load correctly. I'd suggest opening the back and pulling out a little more film tip so that it touches the far film of the camera. When closing the door, ensure the film is completely flat to the back of the camera, and hopefully, the sprocket will catch.
@@vitortabuquini3030 If you open the back of the camera and expose the film to light, it's unlikely any images will process correctly. I would keep using the film until the camera locks the shutter and then rewind the film for processing. It could be that your film counter is faulty and so you are still able to take 36 shots, even though the counter is stating a different number.
Hiya, i’m new to film cameras and have a few questions about this make. Does this film camera always take a photo with a flash? And what type of iso sensitivity levels can it take? Thanks so much
Hi, You would have to remove the film and if the film tip is still visible, then reload the film into the camera. If the film had an exposures on it before rewinded, these would be double exposed when you have further shots. If the film tip is rewind into the film can, you will need a film extractor tool to avoid the film being exposed to light.
Hey how can I on the flash light

@@Sopworthjb but what if the charge light is coming on and everything else on the camera is working, why can’t i see the flash light?
@@janamoriconi6334 I would suggest the bulb has probably blown and so you will need to use the camera with good light from now on

The Sure Shot series is so popular right now.
Hi! How to know if I finished my film roll?
What film is compatible with this camera?
Any 35mm film with a speed of 200 to 400 ISO. Kodak Gold/Colorplus/Ultramax or Fuji Superia are good options.
@@Sopworthjb great! Thank you very much 😊
What to do if the counter is stuck on "s"? I have loaded the film as you show in the video and I have no idea why it doesn't go to number 1

@@akrasireinard1256 iso 200 will be fine - I’d stick to 200 to 400 film in that model.

Does this camera take 35mm film or is it another size ?
Hi, The camera takes regular 35mm film - something like Kodak Gold or Lomography ISO400 would be perfect.
Can i take 36 pictures with that cam or just 24? Because i put a 36 film in it and it stopped by 24. Please help me 😅
I can use just 18 frames from the 36 film?
Do you have long gaps on the negative between each shot?
@@Sopworthjb for this camera, i can use the rest of 18 shots if i reveal the previous 18 that ive taken?

Hi, Yes, the XB400 has an auto-flash, so if the light is too low it fires. Regarding ISO, the camera is best with 200 or 400 film. Cheers

Hello. Please tell me, if you don't insert a film into it, then it won't react at all to button presses?
From my memory, I think the camera's buttons only work when the film is loaded in the chamber inside.
@@Sopworthjb I just thought my camera wasn't working. And I will buy the film only tomorrow. I hope that the camera works... Thanks for the answer!
Hello! I have this exact model that I've been using for years now but recently the shutter button got stuck. Any tips? :)
Have you tried rotating the film sprocket (small cog) inside the camera to see if it releases the shutter?
