wide frame Vespa Douglas 1956. modified with PX engine

Took the Douglas out for a ride in the Sun this morning. Forgot I hadn't adjusted brakes properly after changing the front wheel bearings :S Apart from that It rode pretty well. It's got the PX engine but It's still a 68 year old Wideframe and it's not as aerodynamic as the PX with It's wide Legshields & Backside! I thought 56.8 mph on the gps was pretty respectable on shitty potholed country r...

Sorry for the quality. My Wife took a bit of film of us riding round the farm tracks on the Scoot. The track is full of pot holes & gravel & she was bricking it! Windy day too (or could of been the Wife) 😆 I know there's a lot better Box exhausts out there nowadays but just listen to that Sito I just love that noise! Ride safe 🛵👍

This was modified to take a PX engine about 20 odd years ago by Steve Porter (Sausage Speed). Will probably be putting it up for sale in the near future But for now I'm really enjoying owning this lovely Wide frame Vespa.

Has 10 inch wheels & a PX engine for modern riding conditions. Goes very well. Just wish I could find a bench seat to fit it. Can't get on with the saddle seat :S
