Teaching Music Class provides students with opportunities to practice teaching their peers in traditional class settings. All the students are on secondary instruments (i.e., not their primary instruments) that they are just beginning to learn. So, Student Teachers get to teach them how to play these instruments. In this video, Madelyn Loyacano is rehearsing the concert band of students on their secondary instruments. So, students get training and experience in real life situations before they go out into area school music classrooms to further polish their teaching skills.
