nice video I just brought a 2007 xkr but this video, reminds me of me and my boys driving our classic cars on that Sunday afternoon. Nothing like that headturning attention.

It does sound glorious from where the camara recorded it but does it excite cavity resonance? It'd be bloody annoying if it did, to keep hitting an interior boom. I think that some 928s were criticised for that.

I believe it's the light coloured coupe making the noise, what kind of exhaust is on there?!

Ah, I was involved with the development of that engine at Jaguar cars (AJ33) so I'll always hav a soft spot for the enine and the car. The only egine I think sounds better was Aston's Tadek Merek V8 but that didn't have cats for most of its life.

that engine note isnt that good. i found out the secret to the best sounding jaguar and it is so loud that you cant even hear the whining sound of the dyno machine. The whole place was even shaking up, it was ridiculous. seriously.
