my first year as a diamond pass holder and I agree it feels like it was oversold and if i didnt have so little to get then i would have gotten just as frustrated, otherwise it was a fun event

I love a good horror anthology

We had an amazing time the only complaint I had was when we queued for Tim Cappello we didn't know which line was for who as alot of the lines where over lapping. Definitely think they needed more staff around even if they were just for diamond pass members

We met Tom Atkins and he was a wonderful kind guy. He made a huge fuss of my 2 sons when we had a photograph. We walked off and he called us back asking him questions and what his name was and what were his favourite films. And even held his hands and did a little dance with him. What a gentleman. A credit to his craft.

The exact same edition has come out again for pre order for november 11th on zavvi and amazon which I find weird for a supposedly limited edition

#2 is the weakest for me. The acting is soo atrocious in that one, but the first 20min are solid, and if you replaced the two journalists in that one, it'd be higher. #3 I at least like the cast. The last few minutes of #3 are what bring it down for me. But they're all solid, as you said.

The score!! RIP James Horner! The movie had such an interesting point on ghosts, death and moving on from someone passing on. Definitely a solid movie! And the set design!! I want that house!!!!

It’s the classic horror movie. Very enjoyable and shocking for its time. Even the music is recognizable to everyone

This movie was cut to a much shorter version very late in postproduction... it became a more abridged goofier version. After previewing it to audiences the makers felt the ending was considered too poignant. The film always had this hyper reality but there was deeper characterization and Bruce Willis' character Ernest storyline was more substantial. His character actually had a subplot (at the beginning and 3 act) with him yearning to die and be reborn and this all played into the original ending. It was a last minute decision to cut it all and reshoot the ending. Tracey Ullman's character Toni was completely cut from the film. It's a bit sad they 'simplified' the film a bit too much imo. The dead body antics of the eternal ladies were more concentrated in the middle of the film. Bookended by the actual story in which Ernest searches for an escape out of this bizarre love triangle. The original movie definitely had a bit more of a drama edge... Madeline had a sex scene with the toyboy before she goes to the beauty salon... She also grabbed Ernest inappropriately during their wedding vows. When Mad comes home from taking the potion she got back on the phone with the toyboy and became rather raunchy again while Ernest listened in. This was all cut. The subplot involved Ernest feeling really sorry for leaving Helen, wanting to start his life over all again. His friend Toni offered sympathy and a listening ear in their first scene. A comatose drunk in this bar became Ernest's ticket out in the third act. Originally the potionbottle never broke when it fell and he scoops it out of the pool and takes off with James Dean's car to Toni at the bar. The drunk sees the light of the potion and dies right there. Since Madeline & Helen need to get the potion back (originally Lisle tells the ladies to get IT back or she will bury them 6 feet deep) they are on his tail and when they arrive at the bar Toni is acting her part well pretending Ernest has died inside her bar. Ernest & Toni dressed up the drunk in Ernest's clothes and they get away with it (sadly by giving up the potion so Madeline neglects to look at the face clearly). The 27 years later ending in Switzerland with the ladies still looking stunning was reshot because it felt a bit too much of a leap from what came before. The women sit on a balcony of a beautiful hotel having coffee... with a gorgeous scenery of mountains & lakes behind them. It's all lost on them... they are plagued with utter boredom. Madeline spots an old couple and starts ridiculing them... but Helen stares into the park and looks at the couple with longing. The old couple sit on the grass and the man is touching the hand of his wife with his young hand. It's Ernest, now an octogenarian but happy & content as him and his wife enjoy the late afternoon sun. The women keep staring at them and as we close up on them and the film fades out their perfect faces turn to skulls for a moment. Because of this changed ending the role of Toni became superfluous (not in my opinion because they could still have used her as a friend who helps out Ernest in her other scenes). The third act resolve at the bar was long and with that gone the rest of the film had to become much more scrappy. They actually (around the middle of the film) removed an entire 24hrs of events! Ernest meets Helen at the Beverly Hills Hotel to revise their plans but he chickens out which infuriates Helen even more, this happens after he picks up the formaldehyde. He stores Madeline in the freezer overnight (this happened during the cut when Helen skips the fence), Next morning the maid discovers Madeline in the freezer and there is this hilarious scene with Madeline walking around the house all frozen & stiff (It's rigor mortis, try to walk it off!) and the maid gets fired, two scenes with Helen exercising like a mad woman in her hotelroom while receiving maps of Death Valley and her shopping for the hardware when a clerk implies she has killed someone by asking her if she wants a headstone to go with all the rest of her stuff.

This is the one i recommended, isn't it.

Such an underrated video again, loving the Alton Towers content!
