Congratulations to all of the contestants as well as the new reigning queen, Debbie Forrest. It was a delight being of service to each of you. May God bless and keep you well. Enjoy life the best you can.
Thank you all for your support! One year later, I thank God for the awesome time I had as 2023 Ms. Senior Golden Years USA Queen. It all started with being a greeter at the Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon. From there I attended the Victorian Tea held each year at Mrs. B.J. Hetrick-Irwin's dance studio. There I committed to being a contestant for 2023. Before then I believed I was and am a winning Queen. Throughout the contestant journey, I continued to talk positive to myself, hung around positive people which always helps. Of course we never know what way judges will go, so that night I was ready for them to call my name Althea P Jones, and it happened. To God be the Glory! I am the "first African American Woman" who have received this honor in its 20 year history. Stay tuned later this year for the book about my reign, 'A Queen Before and After Being Crowned.'
May the Lord bless each and every one of you ladies!
Love Teresa 🧡✨
Why not set your phone to only receive calls just from your contact list.
so hyped your coming to coburg oregon again im gonna be the third wheel on my best friend's date
are the fiber installers electric certified as well? and does power company own the fiber company so that they can use the same underground pipes? nobody around here would even dream of doing that, minimum approach distance to live secondary power is 40 inches for the fiber guys in our area, 10 feet for transmission and adss fiber only. and aint no way the power linemen would ever allow a fiber microduct in their vaults, some crazy stuff is going on here that i wish we could do in our area, imagine not having to pull all the permits and everything cause you are just using existing power pipe, im dreaming here, ive seen a couple places where the fiber is lashed on the neutral conductor, if only we could do that...

I'm glad the PVHS band, showed up...is that all that is left of it? I marched with that band from 1995-1998, and it looks a LOT smaller and I did not see the band director. @30:18

Hi
Hi
So neat for that little guy to be able to do that. Great job VEA, and the linemen for taking him along. Future foreman right there.
Great insight on what it takes to keep the power on. Hard work and dedication. Microbursts are no joke.
Great Job Aaron, and the whole VEA team.
Great work VEA employees.
Fritz is the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. Truly a great dude.
Great job VEA.
Ballots will be mailed out February 13, Online voting will start. This is why it is important that you use your ballot and vote. The Electrical Utility business is and will continue to be going through major changes. There is a shift from old reliable fossil fuel power generation to renewable energy sources. The fossil fueled power generation offered reliable 24/7 operations but is unfriendly to our environment. Renewable energy sources are more friendly to the environment but are intermittent. As more renewables come online, older fossil fueled plants are being taken offline. This is creating problems for our electric utilities whose job is to supply our electrical needs reliably 24/7. New cleaner power plants will have to be built to replace old plants (especially coal fired). Storage of excess solar will have to be developed and built. Renewables will need to be supplemented. In addition to this we are moving towards Electric Vehicles and home solar. This creates a whole set of new challenges. Many technically based decisions will have to be made within the new environment that Electrical Utilities will be operating in. This is why you need someone with technical knowledge and experience on the VEA Board of Directors. Friends and neighbors, I need your help. Could you please do two things for me? Ballots will be mailed on February 13, could you fill it out and give me your vote? You will also be able to log into VEA and vote online. Could you email friends outside of our Neighborhood and ask them to vote for me? Thanks Kevin McMahan
Great Job!
