Something else in the comments is that a lot of people are concerned about meeting other travellers in Japan. As a Japanese, if I were to say a famous foreigner in Japan these days, I would say Thomas Lockley. Many Japanese know him so well that he has created three songs such as Wizard of fabriction, Isn't that Yasuke? and Isn't that Thomas? and his arrangements are increasing at a very fast pace. I was born and raised in Japan for more than 40 years, but I've never seen a foreigner being chased by 91407 Japanese (or even more Japanese with X). I think he is an unprecedented foreigner in Japan.

Now I know why the racial tensions are so high in your country. You flew all the way like 10,000 miles to japan just to hang out with a bunch of other caucasians or white people in a country that is 99.999 percent Japanese. If I had to bet you probably hang out with mostly white people in Chicago as well even though the city is way more racially diverse than even where I’m from in London. As a british person with our colonial history even I would have cared to have interacted with some of the local Japanese people. Or if I ever visited an American city like New York or Chicago I’d make sure to interact with everyone. Not just people that look like me

Not only 711 there are so many convenience stores in Tokyo and it was great when I lived in a small studio apartment. Hop step jump and I can go different Convenience stores that were my personal fridge and kitchen.Just Love them

I just came back from Japan. Loved the country. Yes it is more expensive than south East Asian countries but you get to see the more well developed country. More advanced than the US and Canada.
