Using and Adjusting Dual Speed Compression Adjusters & Rebound
Просмотров 1 тыс.8 месяцев назад
We go through the correct way to use and adjust Dual Speed Compression (DSC) Compression Adjusters on Fox or Walker Evans shocks. If your shocks did not come from the factory with these, we highly recommend upgrading to the DSC style adjusters. They provide a much larger spectrum of adjustability and increased ride quality! Remember, High Speed and Low Speed Adjustments are based on shaft speed...

SRS Pro R & Turbo R Walker Evans Replacement Slider
Просмотров 43610 месяцев назад
We saw a major flaw with the OEM Front Shock Sliders on the Pro R and Turbo R Walker Evans models. The OEM slider was oval shaped, very sloppy, and when spring preload was added caused the slider to not stay interlocked. We redesigned the slider with tighter tolerances and improved material to help mitigate issues with shock body damage. Our slider is machined out of Delrin material instead of ...
Shock Body Wear and How to Make Sure You Never Need to Replace Your Bodies
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.Год назад
There's lots of talk and videos online claiming that damaging shock body wear is normal and that every dual rate kit has the same problems. The reality is that OEM setups and certain companies do have issues with this specific issue for a few factors. Quality of springs, quality of sliders/components, and correct spring rates not requiring excessive preload amounts. These 3 above factors contri...

Here is some clips of our completed Polaris Pro R XP4 Ultimate car that we did our full suspension tune on. The car received our full dual rate spring kit and customized internal tuning. Bypass tube modifications were a must. Before we ever went out with the far we saw design limitations on the internals of the shock. So we had our improved design ready for when we started shock testing. This c...

You guys helped me out on an older fox shock rebuild kit, when I tried to call fox they had no interest in giving me any info whatsoever. Also called and talked to you about some recomendations on re-valving a set of shocks.
Please explain how to determine where to set crossover. Thanks
Do you make them for the fox shocks my buddies 2022 rzr pro xp with dynamix. His are already eating the shock bodies doing some pretty good damage.
Get them how to videos rolling. people love and need that stuff and show them operations it's a great way for people to say, hey I'm using schmidty. I normally use shock therapy but I decided to buy your rebuild kit for my podium 2.0 just came in today. Kit looks really good and high quality.

Great explanation Tyler! You guys do great work!
'PromoSM' 👏
What gauge are you using
I am thinking of buying your kit for my shocks rebuild
It's a nice kit mine just came today. high quality for sure.
Good video, thanks for the information !
Will it work with my pro XP with walkers?

can you used a vacuum motor like they used to recharge AC
Can I use argon gas from my mig welder since I don't have nitrogen
I just bought the JC Racing ones today for $120 bucks. I didn’t know you guys offer this upgrade too.
Um, We were the first company that made them. We started making them in 2008 for the Polaris 800s way back when they came out. All the other companies out there, copied us. We have now redesigned them , and they now have even more internal volume.. We also now have cooling fins on the caps which will aid in shock cooling adding more surface area to dissipate heat.. We were the innovators, everybody else were just copying our idea. Our caps have a significant larger volume than JC Racing ones. You'll also need to use a schrader extension to charge them, as 95% of the chucks out there will NOT fit down into the recess of their caps.. Our schrader valves are recessed as well, however the stem is accessible, and any No-loss chuck will directly fit (no schrader extension needed). NRP DIRECTLY also copied our caps, down the exact shape and dimensions. We offer Fox Gen1 & Gen2 2.0's, Fox Gen2 2.5, and We also have Gen1 & Gen2 2.0 caps for Walker Evans and Gen2 2.5 for Walker Evans shocks.
@@schmidtyracingsuspensions Thanks for the reply. I will definitely refer your company to all my friends that ask about mine. Looking on RUclips JC has a lot more videos out there so that’s why I assumed they where the first and not a copycat. Lol.
Why doesn't your end cap kits come with a new "O"ring?
They do.
hi, this is dynamix shock?
Yes it is.. These take our Gen2 2.5” high volume endcaps.. Also our caps do not need a schrader valve extension to fill them unlike a few of the other cheaper options out there.. Plus our high volume endcaps have the highest nitrogen “capacity” of ANY cap option out there.. Schmidty Racing Suspension
@@schmidtyracingsuspensions does not affect the operation of the dynamix suspension?
I replaced the end caps on my Honda pioneer 1000 WOW what a huge difference the pioneer felt like it was top heavy not anymore I can drift and do donuts with ease does not fell like it's going to flip. I filled nitrogen to 200 psi hopefully that's the correct psi I might play with it maybe try 170. If you have fox shock it's a must upgrade you'll be happy you did.
I need to change the rubber protector, it is possible to remove the rebound damping?
Liked the video, dealer filled with 100 psi What differences would you see between 100 and 200? What would a rider experience if the pressure was low?
Shock cavitation will be the effect.. which can/ will cause bucking, because the oil will be pushed ahead of the piston & cause a low pressure/vacuum “behind” the piston..without adequate N2 pressure apply pressure to the IFP, instead of the oil being held in place and being forced to go through the valving, it will push it into the reservoir instead because the low N2 pressure won’t resist it..hence the void of a solid oil column “behind” the shaft piston when fully or near fully depressed , will be unable to properly “dampen” on the rebound portion of the stroke as the stored energy of the compressed spring “unloads”; the shock will extend violently, which can & will cause vehicle bucking. I hope that explains it well enough to understand.. Evan @ Schmidty Racing
@@schmidtyracingsuspensions what's the correct psi for 2018 honda pioneer came factory with fox gen 2 with niddle fill I filled 200psi with your kit is that correct? Or should I drop psi

Would you consider making a video of doing the shox rebuild with the seal kits you sell? There are several on RUclips but I'm not satisfied with them.

Hello Evan, Please tell me where to buy repair parts for Fox performance 1.5 podium which is installed Can-Am Outlander 1000 x mr 2014 - 2016, Thanks
Great video, I will be placing an order. On the 2018 XP4 1000 Dynamix edition the service manual, and the service folks at Fox recommend 100 PSI.
I recommend 200 psi. Your mileage may vary.. but I challenge you to try both , and then comment on the difference..;-)
Any chance you have a parts list on your nitrogen charge setup?
Here is the link to the nitrogen /shock tools section of our website. It shows everything we carry. We are constantly adding new specialty shock tools as well as new products. www.schmidtyracing.com/nitrogen-tools-s/1847.htm

Is there a write up somewhere that describes rebuilding these shocks completely?
do you have a rebuild video for this exact shock by chance or know of a good one
Would like the same plz
