Undo the shock and let the arm pivot down. Let's you unbolt the small retaining bolt easily

When replacing speedo cable for Vespa PX never take old one out completely , firstly take the old inner cable out , leaving just the outer cable still in place , then put the new inner cable into the old outer cable but upside down , i.e. feed it up from the bottom , then pull old outer cable out from the top leaving now just the inner cable in but upside down , then feed new outer cable in from the top onto upside down inner cable and push down , doing it this way makes it a lot easier to to feed it through the small hole in forks because the upside down inner cable is now feeding new outer cable through the little hole in forks then pull out upside down new inner cable from the bottom and now feed it back in from the top , i.e correct position and it will easily feed through

The best way indeed my friend. Any tips on fitting the bottom end into the worm etc?

Tip your bike to the side when on the stand once the new Speedo cable was fitted ..if you can see the small cable rotate then you will know it's seated ...you don't have to put it all back together and then you find out it's not seated properly !

1:51 FYI there is no "brake cable" at the front. The disc brake is hydraulic so there's only a 'brake hose' which can be seen attached to the caliper
