12:45 wow
Hats off to you, Professor, for your enthusiasm and vision for the semiconductor industry in India. I wish I could have collaborated with you on one such exciting project for country during my tenure at SCL. Currently, I am working in another fascinating domain of open-source IC design, which I believe might become big thing in future, similar to the progress of open source in software industry, to meet future IP requirements. I would love to collaborate with you if this idea resonates with you.
Missing the bus is wrong thing to complain about: why? Because industrial revolutions are meant for countries that cross the political revolution chasm. Indian after 1947 to 2007 has been extremely politicized and socialized. This is the crux of the issue. Then political system shifted, became more capitalism friendly with party change. You need extreme capitalism and least amount of beurocracy if you want to catapult to the levels of Japan, Singapore. In Taiwan, the entire country backed the TSMC and other foundries. Same in Korea, Japan: The Government took away all the red tape because they just saw the importance of semis. India never got its head out of its own a$$: which was religious, class politics and corruption. This kept people poor and escapism mindset (going to US UK Australia). Now the scenario is changing. So what government needs to go is eliminate all red tape. Welcome the extreme capitalism from Major Indian Companies. Complex subjects like Semi build outs can only be achieved by for profit companies, not governments. So I hope government backs the new companies beaucse they are the ones who will obtain the trailing edge tech. Leading tech is out of questions right now. Government needs to facilitate and open doors to ASML, Tokyo Electron today!
Very good lecture. The future of EE belongs to India, no doubt. I am not Indian :)
It is unfortunate that today's IIT students don't know about Jayant Narlikar and Yash Pal who were active professors 1990s to early 2000s.
Great explain
Amazing sir!!! Thank you so much for sharing this kind of information ❤ LOVE FROM GUJARAT
awesome! learning sir... I am 45 now I wish I had lecture like you in my student life... I forwarding this video all the student how wants to do great for our Nation
Us is investing 100 billion, china 200 billion, japan 65 billion, malaysia 20 billion, india 20 billion,Vietnam and Thailand also investing a lot in buliding fabs, in future there will be glut of chips.
You underestimate the demand
Also they all investing in different nodes. Different types. 2 years and then glut
Wonderful prof. thanks.
Gotta love your optimism and Can-do spirit !👍
Look forward to advanced chips made right here in india!
Very inspiring.
Thanks Prof 😎 namaste sir ❤❤ Sir free educational video se bahut saari skill develop ki hai maine ❤❤ sir next year aapse milunga IIT Bombay me mujhe electrical engineering hi karni h

I've been pondering my interest in electronics for the past few months and was feeling skeptical about whether it's the right field to pursue. However, after watching the entire series, Rajesh Sir has made me fall in love with electronics. The way I eagerly wait for the next episode of The Chip Story is something I’ve never done before, not even for any movie or web series. Thank you so much, Rajesh Sir!
The passion with which you are explaining is really wonderful. I’m currently pursuing my MS in Computer Engineering in the USA, and your approach has made me even more excited about the subject. Professors like you don’t just educate students; you plant the seeds for future entrepreneurs and scholars. Thank you!
