Tired of white men
It is very Tough for people to play such classical songs and styles especially in the year 2022 The 2020 decade may reveal certain things out there.
This was extremely helpful!! I'm 34, and I'm preparing to try to get into undergrad Classical guitar program in 2 years down the line. As the culture in India goes, I was forced to ignore my calling in high school, but I'm gonna give my all to it now. Do you think I have a chance of getting in for my age?
I hope you go for your dream no matter your age. 🙏🏾
@@TiffanySoulbird I am! not at the USC coz I got rejected in the pre-screening round, but elsewhere. It's a big world! Thank you for your wishes! 😃🤟
@@theguitarteacherAll the best!
Hi Sophie! I really like your video and your nighttime routine. The best part I like is your music pajama, I’m wondering where you get it:)
Great Music History!!!..Thanks.

Love this. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks Lucca!!
Awesome! I am sharing this with my class. Thank you.
Nice!
Beautiful
Sounds awesome!
My ancestor is Joseph Emidy…my maternal grandmother was Annie Jane Emidy. My cousin Majorie Emidy did a family history…All the Emidys were musical and absolutely brilliant…
What tuba mouthpiece is that?
We loved seeing you at the open house. so cool
No Lives Matter. Everyone is scum, and everyone deserves to fester in their graves. Humanity is a festering wound on a beautiful planet filled with a gorgeous Flora, ruined by animals and humans. I would cast aside my humanity and embrace any kind of isolation to get away from this planet of selfish and insecure fools.
Thank you for this!!! 🙏🏾
20-25 students??
Thanks for uploading! If you have a second, we recorded some original blues songs. As fellow music lovers, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our page. Don't go too hard on us :)
Please doa similar interview for Undergraduate composition
So good to find about Undine Smith Moore and that the Pulitzer jury looked at one of her works . Well Leon and Davis and Marsalis have gotten some of that recognition along with George Walker .Wm.Grant Still gets a lot of attention now . Florence Price was really a genius (she did exemplary in everything she looked at .)but the music is so old-fashioned .Bond I must learn some of her works.
Excellent video! I'm an alumnus of the Thornton School of Music as well! Dr. Timm was way too humble when he spoke about his career: Dr. Timm was associate principal oboe of the New York Philharmonic and toured with the orchestra making six recordings with Zubin Mehta as well as appearing as a soloist with the orchestra. Dr. Timm has also served as principal oboist and soloist with the Philharmonia Virtuosi, Viruosi of New York and the orchestras of the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. He can be heard as soloist on several recordings for CBS Records, and has recorded chamber music for the Vox, Columbia, Vanguard, RCA and Musical Heritage Society labels!!
BIG UP RESPECT !!!!
Wonderful 👏 👏. Great
Love that french horn!
I shared this with my students. Thank you.
This is great! Thanks for this interview. Good stuff.
Great video. I was unaware of Undine Moore. Thank you for sharing.

What about if i like metal? Like thats not all I lke but i enjoy playing metal and rockyou know but i also enjoy playing challenging jazz pieces but would i be enough for the school? :/
For metal musicians who want a mix of metal and jazz instruction, I would reccomend Berklee or if u wanna stay in LA Musician's Institute.
@@yonatankahn2884 haha damn this was a while ago!! i ended up getting into berklee!! and i play much more genres now haha i was in my metallica phase haha
Sweet cover! I loved it & had to tell you that you did this song justice! 😊I followed/liked immediately! I covered "Streets" by Doja Cat It would mean a lot if you checked it out and followed back! Thanks for the rad music! 👻 ruclips.net/video/ihoFMVtMjrg/видео.html p.s. such a cool duo

Yeah... Gotta say the Tuba tone is on point for sure - great moving lines and the French Horn being one of the most difficult instruments for controlling QOS when doing octave leaps or greater..... makes this display of talent..... tight AF - yup. you are both great musicians - lots of work out behind the woodshed working on your craft..... - VERY NICE!!!! I dig it!!!
Love this!
Well done.
great video.
Yeah, Jim! Great piece and great players!!
So fun!
These are my talented USC students I coached this year premiering ‘Hang On”! It combines The Weapons of Brass Destruction Quintet and The USC Bass Tuba Quartet. I’m very proud of them!
Nice

Love the French Horn player!! This is a talented group.
Sophie has made me learn to appreciate the beautiful sounds of the French Horn. Thanks Sophie. A close friend of your grandfather. Love your music and your talent. Keep up the great work.
Eric Sensiba thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
