Fun fact: Labelle was a rock and soul group consisting of members Nona Hendryx, Sarah Dash, and Patti LaBelle. They were formed in the 1970s after spending a decade as Patti LaBelle and The Bluebelles. Their manager at the time noted that the Motown girl group style was dying out, and they needed to move away from the matching wigs and gowns. The group left America to live in England, where they toured with some rock bands like The Who. Upon returning to America, they reinvented their style and began singing songs about space travel, sexual liberation for women, immigration, and various social and political issues. Patti was the lead singer, Nona was the primary songwriter and sang low notes, and Sarah sang all the high notes. They were an amazing group and are honored in the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

the story of ethel cain (basically this album start to finish) is a messed up realistic story of a girl w southern upbringing in the church with a terrible connection to it (pastor dad was a creep) (also why the vibe is southern gothic)) and every song is a part to her story. the beginning is her start and story, one is her old love, a few are her second love and their story, and then we have the more twisted ones towards the end it's her falling into a toxic abusive relationship and it's her downfall, her downfall till she's pimped out, on drugs, murdered and cannibilzed, her death, and then her after the grave singing to her killer (the song strangers. "am i making you feel sick?" cannibalism and guilt reference) singing to her mom, saying sorry. singing to God.

They're actually from San Diego, California. They were formed by Vic (Victor Fuentes the vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Last name pronounced: fwen-tez) and his brother Mike (Michael Fuentes FORMER drummer. He did some bad things and is no longer in the band as of 2018) in 2006 before Jaime (Jaime Preciado the bassist. First name pronounced as: hi-may. Last name pronounced as: preh-shi-ado) and Tony (Tony Perry the lead guitarist) joined in 2007. They typically have Lionel Robinson (former Letlive drummer) as their drummer for tours and live performances, but I don't think he's officially in the band. The band is also very proud of their heritage as all three are Mexican Americans and have featured parts of this in songs such as Bulls in the Bronx.
