Anderson 22' yacht: I shall hopefully document the changes we've made over the years, and all aspects of ownership.
Designed by Oliver Lee, built in 1977 by Anderson, Rigden & Perkins, the A22 is a lifting keel trailer sailer, renowned in its day for being remarkably seaworthy; indeed two crossed the Atlantic in the 70's.
We've owned Sylkie since 2015: sail #106, MMSI 235093847. We keep her near Ipswich at Orwell Yacht Club, and race with the Harwich Haven Series, and cruise along the East Coast, mostly south of the Deben down to the Thames.

I think the drying harbour is private
Nice clear water.
Looks lovely weather for it too.
Try with a bloody flat bottomed racing hull. Your boat handled that chop beautifully for how light it is.
0:49 "she smells so good..... " In Amsterdam we got complaints of the neighbours because of the same smell :-(
We have Vic99 in Stourport. They are Puffer Steamers. Built just after the war to help get trade flowing by sea again.
This is amazing!! I recently sold my A22, but lived nearby, and sailed past Caladh Harbour often!! My Grandparents lived in Kames in the West Kyle that you just sailed up. Thanks for sharing… enjoy!! 😊
Echoing the previous commenter -- could you share a bit more detail about the design of the bracket?
Well it would help if we knew where it was.
Ooh wheres he of too, anywhere nice...?
Hello, i just found this video and i am very impressed about your solution. Would be wonderful If you could share some information about this bracket. Thank you, Regards Werner
Are you able to remove the individual supports to access the area underneath them?
Hi just watched your videos of the Anderson 22 nice boat and good work carried out👏. My first boat was a hunter 701 also designed by Oliver Lee from what I reaserched he took the 701 design and improved to make the Anderson 22. Have had a few boats since and now own jeanneau sunlight loads of room and great for family and friends. But bigger boats coast more and need more of your time to maintain! Thinking of selling and going smaller again now the family are getting older and less interested😱 The 701 was such a joy to sail, lovely balance on the tiller and a good turn of speed for her size. Have been looking at the Anderson 22 as a option, does this have a self draining cockpit that works? Or is it like the 701 OK with 1 or 2 people but three or to much weight in the stern and you have a 1" of water in the cockpit! Would appreciate your opinion. Happy sailing 👍🏻👏⛵
