They say 3x better bio-availability. Is it compared to lone astaxanthin intake, or to astaxanthin + fat intake? Resveratrol experiences several fold increase in bioavailability if taken with fat. And it is believed that astaxanthin too increases bioavailability if taken with fat

I'm not sure how their synthetic astaxanthin manages to achieve natural isomer ratios when other synthetic astaxanthin fails to do this. According to some natural astaxanthin producers natural is 55x stronger than synthetic. To avoid this their method must truly differ from traditional synthetic methods, it'd be nice if they said if its a patented process or what they're doing different. It's not easy or other synthetic would match natural.

I'm very fair skinned. Many sunburns in my life. Used astaxanthin a couple of months before going to Hawaii a few years back. I actually had gotten a tan!! A bit of pink 1 day, but the pink was gone the next. I used only coconut oil (spf about 3), and a bit of zinc on nose. I've used it on and off now for part 5 years. BUT.... now I've been diagnosed with osteoporosis and found out that astaxanthin blocks calcium absorption. I love astaxanthin and know it also has bone benefits,...but now what?

I can resonate a lot with what Dr Nick says about how doctors mess you up a child. I am 22 right now with several health I'm trying to recover from. NAFLD, low testosterone, high gut dysbiosis and other. I was an overweight, sedentary child who ate terribly yet was immediately prescribed an ssri from about age 12 to 16, various courses of antibiotics and just overall lack of actual help with no mention of my diet and lifestyle

It's so disingenuous to sell this overpriced supplement when it has common ingredients you can purchase for half the price on Amazon. The main, most important things to take for highest NAD+ production are NMN and an NAD+ iv. There is nothing that will raise your NADH levels higher than the iv, other than just taking live human stem cells, which costs way too much currently.

In terms of specifically targeting cancer, there is a biochemist, Samuel Shepherd who has a patent for high-purity high-dose glucosidic astaxanthin called Valasta in which it is used as a trojan horse attack to target cancer cells in the way that the cancer cells try to consume glucose but instead get the astaxanthin and perish. At a molecular level, it works by blocking the PDL1 gateway part of the cancerous cells and this removes their ability to disguise themselves. It makes sense considering astaxanthin has the second-highest ORAC score of 2,822,200 and dragon's blood sap has the highest known ORAC score of 2,897,110. I would be curious on your thoughts on all of this. Also, thank you for helping people and sharing your knowledge

Here's a ChatGPT summary: - Professor Sergei Ostowicz is a medical doctor with a PhD in experimental medical science, specializing in mitochondrial medicine, nutrition, and metabolism. - Creatine research has been a significant focus for over 20 years, exploring its effects on energy metabolism, exercise performance, and various health conditions. - The first study on creatine was conducted in the 1920s, initially linking it to protein synthesis and nitrogen in the body. - Creatine gained popularity in the late 1980s for its role in energy metabolism, especially after a UK sprinter credited it for his Olympic success in 1992. - Creatine is recognized as a safe and effective ergogenic aid, improving exercise performance and hydration by retaining water in muscles. - Recent studies suggest creatine may aid in concussion recovery and shorten injury recovery periods. - Creatine is synthesized in the body from glycine, arginine, and methionine, with significant amounts found in muscles, the brain, kidneys, and liver. - Vegans, the elderly, and individuals with certain health conditions may have lower creatine levels, suggesting it as a semi-essential nutrient. - Creatine is compared to omega-3 fatty acids in terms of its importance for not just muscle performance but also brain and liver health. - New research is exploring creatine's role as a biomarker for various conditions, including long COVID, where low creatine levels correlate with severity. - Magnetic resonance spectroscopy is used to measure creatine levels in the body, offering insights into its distribution and potential deficiencies. - GAA (guanidinoacetic acid), a precursor to creatine, has been studied for its potential to increase creatine levels more effectively than creatine itself. - GAA can raise homocysteine levels, a cardiovascular risk factor, but combining it with creatine or methyl donors can mitigate this effect. - Combining creatine with GAA reduces the number of non-responders to creatine supplementation. - Mitochondrial function is crucial for energy production and aging, with creatine playing a role in reducing oxidative stress. - A patent has been filed linking creatine intake to telomere health, suggesting potential anti-aging benefits. - Creatine's impact on brain health is being explored, with potential benefits for cognitive impairment, depression, and neurodegenerative diseases. - The gut microbiome may influence creatine metabolism, though this area requires further research. - Creatine degradation in the body is non-enzymatic, and increasing dietary intake is the most effective way to boost levels. - General population recommendations suggest a daily intake of one gram of creatine, with potential future food fortification. - Coenzyme Q10 and other nutrients are being studied for synergistic effects with creatine on mitochondrial function. - Main message: Creatine is a versatile and essential nutrient with benefits extending beyond athletic performance to general health, brain function, and potential anti-aging effects.
