I had the misfortune of flying through here yesterday. It was horrible. I am used to Gatwick and Schiphol. With these I get there two hours before and I am usually through the whole process in 20 minutes. There are too many problems with Birmingham to list here but I will highlight the departures section. There was an absolutely humungous queue. It stretched the whole length of the building. It took at least 15 minutes to walk uo the side of the queue before you could actually join in the first place. You even had to go out of the doors again and around the car park. Then another 15 minutes to traverse the queue. Then you get to the front of the queue and I expected escalators. No there are four massive lifts. Two of them were just sittimg open and nothing happening. Two staff on walkie talkies. I must have been standing there for 20 minutes. There seemed tio be mo urgency or rush. See how the time is adding up? Once you got in a lift there was another massive queue for security. I had to ssk someone if I ciould fasttrack and he blamed me fior being late. I was there an hour and a half before and still almost missed my flight. So badly designed. By contrast when I arrived at Schiphol it must have been 20 minutes at most between plane and baggage collection. Three minutes walk to the bus stop and the bus came one minute later. Such a difference experience. I will do my best to never use Birmingham Airport again.

They have one security gate open for the majority and 3 open for priority/express. Two to 3 gates are unmanned/ closed. I went through on Thursday. It was chaos. 2.5 hours in the line. Who ever is running BHX needs sacking. They obviously can’t run Jack shit. They then lied saying it was to to with fluid quantities! Bull crap.

Happy memories flooding back. I heard the dolphin area is now closed and that made me happy because I felt sorry for their plight. I believe some of them were dying. Its not good to keep dolphins behind bars. The smell was sickening and almost ominous there.

This was a long, empty beach in 1982 with MARTI HOTEL at one end and a big summer house of two families from Istanbul. La Perla was not built yet. By kind waiters we discovered DALYAN (their village) - still so grateful to have found this beautiful place which became our "second home" then.

came back last saturday. from a amazing holiday at the Ideal prime hotel. and we wil for sure go back. NO !!!!! complains for food,drinks,rooms, or whatever. LOVE IT. it,s worth every penny

That market where you got the water brings back some nice memories.We used to go there for an ice-cream after sitting on the beach all day, then we would sit on the bench opposite next to the canal. Simple times...

The noisiest hotel in the area. Constant bang bang bang all day and night. You couldn't get away from the din. Just listen to tis video. It drives you mad after a bit!.....

I worked for them and believe me this is all the passengers faults. We tell them to come 3 hours before their flights and yet they come 5 hours before and refuse to leave the queue
