In depth analysis of the Wheel of Time novels.
Lake Tahoe Bouldering
Tossin pads off a cliff with the boys.
Not a ton of volume on this trip so the vlog is mostly just Austere and Echo Chamber. Really enjoyed the rock and climbing around Tahoe, very underrated area imo and definitely worth the trip. Better scenery and climbing than a notable other California destination and only four hours from the bay. Austere was eight miles round trip, 2700' of vert, and three and a half hours on the way in so not that bad if you ask me, just gotta get after it.

"I didn't wanna give send rips cause I didn't know where it started" "Oh, it just starts kind of wherever" Rounded out the soft boy trifecta on a quick trip home, sorry to everyone who hasn't done Busted Sit but you missed your chance. As with the other two I will not be downgrading this one but will be judging anyone else who takes 8B.

This was the real Big Climb for me personally, but the fundraiser is on 4/27/24 for Leukemia Lymphoma Society if you care to donate or participate. Thank you to everyone who has donated, I see every one and know that it's appreciated. pages.lls.org/bigclimb/ma/bigclimbbos24/teamchen TLDR: I'm taking it, argue if you want that's half the fun. Had to switch up the cruxes this season. Felt about a...

Quick phone vlog from a hometown project. New England in general is underrated and this climb even more so. Remembered it as being sharp and rather unpleasant but was happily surprised at the quality of the bloc, quite a pure one with some consistent hard moves and while the line is sharp it's not bad. Upper end 8B and harder than The Fly IMHO. Shout out Mr. Haggerty for the blower and my Dad f...

Vlog from working and sending the side proj in Wild Basin. Bit of stalled progress this summer after Multiverse, so decided to just focus on this one to nail down a send and get the ball rolling again. Ended up being a bit harder than I expected, switched up to Puccio's toe hook method which ended up working better. So two days to send.

Sometimes you work a climb, or have a period of time, when even in the moment you recognize how good things are. In the States I'd say second only to Kintsugi for V14's and up that I've tried, way sicker in person than in photos or video. As far as grade wise you kinda gotta expect that something with so many holds is gonna get beta'd down to something a bit easier. Little unfortunate since I'v...

Tried more than just The Fly when I was back home. Some footage of working that and then some for Bill Clinton and an undone harder exit to Jaws. Bill Clinton Proj is just to the left of Jaws and has been an open project for as long as I've been climbing. To the best of my knowledge Foley has tried it and maybe(?) did the moves. A friend of mine told me he had tried it and the moves "weren't to...

"Free solo" An homage to Kevin Jorgeson's video from fourteen years ago. IMHO one of the purest and sickest climbing videos of all time. ruclips.net/video/Mft3k_f0vOM/видео.html

First sport climbing vlog coming at you hot from The Monastery, working on The Quickening aka The Quintessential 5.13c. Please enjoy watching me struggle to climb more than a few moves in a row, I haven't sport climbed since one trip in 2018, but endurance is coming along slightly and I'm getting psyched. "Jeez, no wonder you couldn't do desp"

Fuck yes Talk about a come back 💪
amazing to generate upward movement. you can see how strong your legs are too. congrats. slab is so weird. i never knew about this problem until today and i have climbed outside for 10 years now. i always wondered what the upper limit of a slab problem was. i have never seen one above v6/7. Dual looks incredibly difficult though. once again, congrats. IS Dual the worlds hardest slab problem?!
This was one of your most enjoyable videos to watch. I love Lake Tahoe.
Did Matt delete his ig?
Sickkk!
anybody know of the underlying us flat or incut
very cool looking boulders
lesgoooo
Watching from England whilst feeling envious of the big beautiful boulders you guys have!
Great content
Loved how you both, kinda naturally contemplated the view right after you sent (1st boulder). Sick line and video, cheers

Amazing video. Congrats, this looked like a cool experience.
Where is it
Wow, amazing man. Did you work it on a rope at all?
Super cool for you to show us the projecting process! Much prefer over a send video with cool music
Best descent of a boulder 3:18
2:39 “I found a new foot” - no foot hold is to be seen.

Such a calm climer lol. Nice send!
So sick, the drop knee move looks incredible
Amazing!

Average tchen shoe footy vlog>>>anything mellow has dropped in a year
Cool method
Nicely climbed 🎉
So good. Nice work!
Nice work Tristan!
so strong so handsome
Good stuff my man E: that drop knee instead of the deadpoint was sweeet, really nice sequence for the whole thing
Yup, that’s Grey.
Looks light brown to me
Babe wake up, new tchen vid just dropped
“do you wanna give us the rundown of this climb?” “not really”
Let’s talk about Head Route Setters who cannot climb more than V6. Instagram setting is only bat hangs and knee bars.
Which boulder / area is this? Didn't see anything on MP or just anywhere else
It’s on climbing pins if you have that app. Otherwise (40.3229591, -105.4100877)
Cancer did u right 🥵
epic
Is this old rag?
No, this is Tristan
As someone who desperately wants to get into rock climbing, I can't convince myself being into climbing something you can walk up 20 feet on an incline. There's too much self imposed struggle in climbing
Someone please tell me I'm wrong. I want to like this sport so much lmao. Me being recd this vid is proof
It’s got arbitrary rules, but it really is one the best expressions of physical, technical and mental mastery over oneself. I highly recommend trying it, if it’s something you enjoy, you’ll be hooked for life. Also not all rock climbing is bouldering (you mentioned 20ft), there is sport, trad and big wall climbing. If your gripe with the sport is struggling to access something you could get to with a short walk, there are other avenues. Anyway… all physical recreation is a form of self imposed struggle
@@ThatOneHomlessGuy it's that you could stand and cut this route in half, I guess. What I meant by 20ft was that behind that rock is a hill and you could as easily just walk behind it and to where he go to, correct?
@@ThatOneHomlessGuy maybe I'd just prefer routes that cater to what I'm talking about?
