I have the Aventon Sinch folding ebike in Crest White. I have the M5 black and white display......can you show me on video how to unlock and increase the speed ?
You did not mention the Power Bar on the display which is like a Fuel Flow meter in an airplane. It shows how fast or slow you are burning through your battery! I also noticed that when I ended my ride yesterday I had 32% battery remaining. This morning when I checked, it said 52%. Apparently if the battery rests for a while you get some percentage back after everything settles down. I haven't checked it out yet, but after some more use without charging, will the percentage rapidly return to 32%?

Does this bike work with other brand displays?
We haven't tested it, but most likely it will only be compatible with Aventon displays.
A prime example of the saying ... just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be done. The old display is better than the new display. The new display is unintuitive, overly complicated, only displays your speed but not your mileage (unless you stop and fiddle with the settings), and hard to see in daylight, especially if you turn your headlight/twilight on which dims the display even more. Basically this new display was designed by idiots. New and improved? My rear end.
Correction. Tailight, not twilight.
We purchased two Aventon PACE 500 2nd Gen last month and we love it. On one ride, we rode 17 miles (including 3/4 mile of steep uphill) with generous use of battery and at the end of our ride, the batteries were 84%, which is great. Quiet motor. Good longevity for battery. Smooth ridding bicycle. Strong breaks. Can not go wrong with this ebike.
