LA WEEKEND TRAVEL GUIDE: Non-touristy things to do
hi which site on the campground were you on and would you recommend it? Also what month was this trip? Thank you!
Hi, we were at campsite 158 and we went in November :)
I enjoyed watching your video so much, and I will do it next year. thanks!
Thank you!
My husband and I, love Ippudo! Our order is always your order. He gets the Akamaru, and I get the Shiromaru and we share gyoza. We've never been to Tokyo Disneyland, or Disney Sea. It looks like you guys had a great time! Thanks for sharing!
YUM! i miss the ramen already
I’ve already posted once and now I’m legitimately curious after watching the whole video, how do I get invited to your next camping trip? 😂❤ Y’all do it right! I use to live and work in Yosemite and love watching people enjoy themselves in the park!
Haha thank you for the kind words!
@@iriswoohoo You’re most welcome! 😂 That food spread for every meal 🤤😂

Iriiswoohoo~insane ! catch you later~)
You’re not suppose to stack rocks like that. You can read up on it.
Hello where did you get the cooking pan where you cooked the short rib?
Hi, it doesn't look like they sell that exact one anymore, but here's something similar: amzn.to/3TfdOIw
I’ve been to Yosemite twice. First time was in 1972 and the next in 2018. Both times were super enjoyable.
Why wasn’t I invited 😢🫢☠️😂😂♥️♥️♥️
You’re officially invited to the next gathering where we ask about each other’s new vacuum or TV 😂
Why are we going to a party to be sold a $300 toaster. Tupperware parties are pretty old-fashioned.
I'm 21 and I would love to be at that party
Lol
😭😭😭
This is the toaster that adds steam while toasting, right?
Yup it comes with a little cup for the water 😭
Here’s said ridiculously expensive and cute toaster oven: amzn.to/3Xd4KGz
I’m only five minutes in and I’m jelly of your newcomers! 😂
I really super duper enjoyed this video! Let me know if you ever want some company on your next trip! Y’all do it right! 😂❤
Everyone’s clowning on my boy KD. Dirty feet, water filter, upside down hotdog 😂
He's the life of the party 😂
I would love to vblog abouy my camping trips. 🏕 i had the most fun with the fellas 😂😢
3:07 aAre those glass bottles in the river? One of such dropped in the river cut my foot once!
We adhere to the 'leave no trace' policy -- never litter or leave things behind!
What campsite number?
We stayed at Campsite 158
hello from fla. just found & subscribed to your channel. love the way you guys camp. you really know what your doing. thanks for taking me along.
Hi! Thanks for dropping a note, and welcome :)
Make a point to take some day hikes into Ventana wilderness next time. Pfieffer is great but the real Big Sur is a couple miles inland from where you were. The Big Sur Trailmap on Google is a little old fashioned but once you figure out how to use it, it is a great tool.
I'm planning on going to Yosemite in 2 weeks! How many BTU burners did you have to purchase or go through for all the meals? I just bought one, but I'm not sure how long it will last me
Oh how fun! Do you mean gas canisters? We brought four full canisters just in case. I would say it's always better to bring extra/backups. If you're boiling water (e.g. making stews, soups, pasta, etc.) or using the stove for long periods of time, you should bring more than one canister.
Your campsite is a very good spot beside the creek . Can you please give me what campsite do u go and what number / loop? Never experience to do camping and makes me and my husband to go on my birthday 😊
We were at campsite 187 in upper pines campground. But honestly any campsite in upper or lower pines will be great and near the creek.
Looks so much fun. How did you guys get back to your car?
Check out the description for a full step-by-step guide on how we planned this trip! But basically, you need to have a car parked at the end of the river route and at the beginning, otherwise ya'll need to hike 2 miles back to the original parking lot with all your gear.
Def gunna do this I been looking for a nice lazy river but didn’t want to drive over to Sacramento from the bay thank you
The river at Mendocino (Big River) is also great for kayaking/paddle boarding! It’s definitely deeper so maybe not as great for floating, but that’s another option.
Great video !
I love your vlog style with the narration. Thank you for this series.
Glad you enjoy it!
Did you have to buy ice for your cooler everyday?
Nope, our cooler has great insulation so our ice lasted four days
Just a friendly FYI: Tuolomne is pronounced Too-all-a-me. I lived & worked in Yosemite many years ago. I'm glad you love the park, it's my favorite!
Loved your video makes me want to go camping. What time of year is this? Is this a good time to go camping?
This was Memorial Day weekend this year -- so late spring/early summer! Yes, peak camping months are typically summer
I really loved this video and you have a great warmth and speaking voice ! I look forward to seeing your past and future videos!
Thank you for the kind words!
These videos reassure me to find outdoorsy friends.
We just got back from Utah Nat’l parks (Zion, Bryce etc) and as beautiful as they are, red rock canyons…. I think Yosemite is still so amazing. I want to go n the fall!
Nice video BUT... at the 38:10 mark you show the map of the Tuolumne Grove trail and it shows Do Not Climb On Giant Sequoias. At the 43:00 mark there's Chesley climbing on the Fallen Giant. The waterfall you saw from the turnout at the 46:15 mark was Bridal Veil Falls.
Great videos. I'm from PNW Seattle Area. Embrace the rain. Camping 🏕 in the rain can be enjoyable and great sleep.
Oh luckyyy! Washington has some amazing parks and nature. It's my dream to camp/hike through the state one day!
Love your camping videos. Hope you do the Lake Tahoe camping video soon
Aw thank you! We did actually camp at lake tahoe but I didn't film that one sadly -- guess that means I have to go again!
What a fun camping trip. Your video is very entertaining and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for joining us!
"I am too old for this nonsense." LOL Yes, totally. :D
😂
Nostalgia. Used to camp at Pheiffer regularly with the kids and another family back in the 80’s. Also camped in a heavy downpour at Samual P Taylor. On two separate occasions. Was wet and hilariously muddy. We would have huge Asian style feasts too. Our group was Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, & German American, so huge diverse meals. So much conviviality. We would bring our Klein and Specialized mountain bikes and go dirt trail and paved trail riding, and hiking. Good times. Thanks!
That sounds like a good time! Are there other camping spots/parks in California you'd recommend us check out?
That broll music is smooth. Same as Yosemite video- good job. Congrats on the engagement - very cool. Don’t you guys work? How do you get so much time off go Yosemite than jet over to Japan - you guys living the good life!
Thank you! And I wish we didn't work :p we both work full time, but I'm a very bad vlogger so I tend to take months to edit my videos. Which is why you'll see us all over the place (but not all of that is happening at the same time)
Thanks for the video. That was fun to watch. Do you know if they opened the Merced River to float down while you were there? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about river floating, we haven’t tried that yet
Im your 1000 subscriber, this was a great adventure, Thanks
Wow! Thank you for helping me reach that milestone 🥰
i need friends like yours T.T
Any friend can turn into a camping friend! None of these people camped before (except maybe KD, the guy we keep roasting). You just have to convince them to try it :D And once they've invested with all the camping gear, they HAVE to go again 😉
Seen that filter selling before
Can you detail the bike route you took? That looks amazing biking around Yosemite. Did you blog this whole video on your iPhone? Great editing!
Sure thing, here's a biking map: www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/biking.htm We basically went from curry village > mirror lake > awhahnee meadow > awhahnee hotel > yosemite village > got lost > then biked back to curry village to return the bikes. We didn't have a clear route, we just biked where we wanted to and that was fun :) And yes I vlogged with an iphone!
@@iriswoohoo wow thank you for your quick reply and bike map- just subbed to your channel cause you make great videos! I think if you used the osmo pocket 3 it would make your vlogs even better. The fact you did this all on an iphone is quite a feat!
@@WTABallers Oh thank you for the kind words and for the recommendation. I'll check it out :)
Superb vlog. Thanks for this
Thank you for watching!
