@@Finegraphy Wowerz! These are some damn good points I must say!! Francis is a big dude and no doubt wasn’t a push over before the apocalypse and of course during. Offense I can totally agree with, as in a fist fight or otherwise he would be a force to be reckoned with. And as he is primarily a shotgun user which realistically is used for breaching and close quarters combat Offense should have definitely gone to him in that regard. That being said however Francis as we know is not some trained fighter (Nick isn’t either, none of the survivors really are aside from Bill) but size does play a role in fighting and I could see him tiering out in a prolonged fist fight against a lighter opponent. Now Nick isn’t a tri-athlete by any means but he does have less weighing him down. So long as he can keep dodging or strike faster I believe Nick could win in a fist fight against Francis. So I’d personally keep Stamina on Nick. As for Weapons it’s kind of a grey area. In other L4D vs videos I’ve seen people draw the line between what weapons were available in both games and compare from there. Which at the time made sense to me. But with all the L4D1 maps having been imported into L4D2 and realistically both teams would have access to the same weapons at anytime. It’s hard to say. Like you say Francis did have an arsenal just as the everything started to go down but I would think by the time he meets Zoey, Bill and Louis that stockpile would have been long gone let alone by the time he crosses paths with Nick. Unless you meant it in number of total infected killed then Francis probably does have the edge there as we don’t really know what Nick was doing at the time (probably breaking out of prison). Dialogue is absolutely objective and this is probably where some of my bias shows but Nick basically being my favorite character I love his voice lines a lot more than most of the others. Not to be a disservice to Francis because like you say he has so many iconic voice lines as well! At the very least I could have given them a tie in Dialogue. As for Story it’s pretty simple in my eyes. L4D1 gang have the comics to pull from an official piece of lore for them specifically backstories and filling in the time between Blood Harvest and The Sacrifice. That’s not to mean Nick or the rest of the L4D2 gang don’t have story because of course they do. L4D’s story telling is very subtle in game and is more dialogue driven as well as some world elements. It’s not hard to understand by any means but you do have to pay attention some what to understand the character backstories and story elements that are going on. The Sacrifice comic was the first time where we have gotten a direct story to read and see which in my mind gives the point to Francis and by extension the L4D1 crew. One last point to make in line with the comics is we see the L4D1 crew sail off to the Florida Keys as was Bill’s plan sorta wrapping up the story for them. Whereas the L4D2 teams fate is very up in the air as to what happened to them after The Parish. Some people say they were experimented on/killed by the military but we don’t know 100% what happened to them. Leaving their story open and unfinished. I enjoyed thinking and talking about this and I appreciate you took the time to leave a comment and watch the video so thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!
