Well I HATE to disappoint you, but I am a LATE ADOLESCENT MALE (17yo) who currently at this writing have been going to the toilet, puking and having nasty stinky greenish brown watery diarrhoea! This is most common to rotavirus! This with gut pain as well. ADULTS C A N I N D E E D also get rotavirus as well... maybe with milder symptoms, but NEVERTHELESS still CAN experience this illness! The problem with many of these RUclipsrs is ageism and sexism! Gender bias that only WOMWN can get this as well as only small children and elderly folk later in life. This is what I call the 'Ekta chrome' syndrome a former Kodak 35mm film that was a high contrast black and white film, thus with no shades of grey in-between, all black or all white. This like some these uploaders who are so simplistic to think it is so simple that only a single gender and two age groups can at all contract certain illnesses! I had Rotavirus three times on my life. When I was 14 months, I almost died on it. When I was 8 years old, I was in the hospital and the almost 6 months ago I had Rotavirus again, I was 15 years old and I was in the hospital, too. Rotavirus is so dangerous. Please, don:t underestimate Rotavirus symptoms.

I had rotavirus at age 7 and became so dehydrated that I couldn’t even walk. My poor dad was completely unaware of how serious my condition was and carried me into my regular pediatrician’s office. The dr pretty much took one look at me and ran out in the hall to call an ambulance. I was transferred to the hospital and spent 48 hours in the ICU on IV fluids and some nasal tube to stop me from vomiting. They ran test after test on me even though we kind of knew I had a stomach virus because my sister was sick with the same symptoms a week prior. I was then transferred to a regular room for 2 days before finally being discharged.

I had this when I was 8 years old. I started getting spots on my body, and I was diagnosed with rota virus. They said that it's low, so it's not life threatening and it was also contagious. My child just got over Rotavirus. It took a long time and unfortunately she was very sick on her first birthday. She got vaccinate against it, but apparently that didn't help. And now I have it.... Horrible.

I have it right now and I'm in the hospital. I also have samonella at the same time + I was dehydrated. Its my 5th day in the hospital and I'm leaving tommorow. I had my blood taken to the test 4 times (3 times at once) and they put medicine right into my vains with (a thing that the put into your arm and it has a long straw I don't know how its called). I was suffering from pain and the hospital helped a lot. If I didn't go there who knows what situation I would be today. Probably in pain.

Ugh we hate the rotavirus! First my daughter gets, she throwing up severely and lots of diarrhea. Then she gives it to my son and he was severely vomiting as well with horrible diarrhea, we had to take him to the hospital for an IV because he was dehydrated! The weird part is both my kids were only vomiting for 24 hours but there diarrhea lasted 2 days after the vomiting.
