    Amsoil is a huge hype!!!

  • @JF-e8y
    @JF-e8y Месяц назад

    For the past 15 years, I have used Amsoil exclusively but in the past 2 weeks I have tested Valvoline Restore and Protect in a 2016 Kia Soul my wife's car and the results were amazing shift smoother more acceleration smooth idle engine is quieter so I tried it in my $80,000 2022 Ram 1500 4x4 Limited eTorque and again same results I have never felt a difference like this ever in my 50 years of driving a vehicle I believed Amsoil and all their lab test results but Valvoline let me decide what felt the best I have an MPG gauge in my Truck on the first 50-mile trip I'm getting 24MPG at 65MPH I have never seen better than 18MPG Im very impressed with the results and bought 6 each 5-quart jugs at 1/2 the price of Amsoil lab results Valvoline uses real-world engine testing this could be the difference I thought you were the best Amsoil what matters to me is results that I can feel not words on paper. Do yourself a favor guys try it on 1 oil change and drive 1 mile hell listen after you crank it up you will not look back Valvoline Restore and Protect is the real deal. I pulled the Amsoil sticker off today.

    Would you be able to recommend the proper signature series oil for a 2016 Land Rover LR4? It has the supercharged 3 L engine. Amsoil does not have a recommended spec.

    Thank you for this well put together video. I've been using AMSOIL for 10 years in everything from lawnmowers to SXS's, cars to Harleys and love it. The most noticeable thing was my oil temp on my all of my Harley's dropped almost 50 degrees and the oils comes out clean every change.

    I'm still waiting for someone to publish an independent test that is not paid for by Amsoil. Sorry, Project farm is a great site but he cannot perform real tests on oil. He simply can't afford the equipment to do it.

    When Amsoil first came on the market I tried it in a Datsun car I was driving at the time. The Amsoil was so viscus that it caused the engine bog down, loose power and stall at idle. I drained it after 100 miles and never touched the stuff again. IMHO Amsoil is a terrible product.

    Boss thanks for an amazing presentation. But I think you are missing the big issue with engine oil: contamination dust, fuel, and other dirt. and in the engine oil world, they usually say: that short OCI with cheap oil is a lot better than long OCI with premium oil. finally, I think Amsoil is king for short OCI. Thnks!

    Not only is the Amsoil motor oil superior, but the manual transmission oil, manual transaxle oil (FWD), rear diff oil, automatic transmission oil are all superior. I speak from experience in using these products for decades. Yes, I tried the Red Line, Royal Purple and every other boutique color on the market and I always came back to Amsoil.

    Is it the best oil ? Possibly . Do you need to use this oil to reach 500k miles in your vehicle ? No, no you don’t. Regular off the shelve oil and regular oil changes will get you there. I have 336k in my tundra using a variety of full synthetics , usually buy what’s on sale. Truck runs like new. No reason to spend 150 on oil when the 60 buck stuff works just as well for normal everyday driving .

    There is just as many 300k mile or more cars on the road that got there on Mobil 1 as there is Amsoil... and they spent way less $ as well. Amsoil is way too expensive. Unless youre running an Amsoil bypass filter, nobody should be going over 10k miles on an oil change. You accumulate small wear particles in the 5-20 micron range that full flow oil filters cannot filter out. And that causes engine wear nomatter how nice your engine oil is.

    This is spot on. I remember a long time ago I was working on my Datsun 280z (yeah, they were Datsun way back then) and this guy stopped by and asked me if I would like to give Amsoil a try. Sure, why not and I never looked back. He told me to give it a try and if I liked it he would sell me some. The first round was free. Amsoil is so good they let their product speak for it's self. I saw better gas mileage and the engine just felt smoother. I was seeing no measureable wear and reached 290K miles on my 280Z and I wasn't kind to it, getting that many miles on a hard run car ........ And Amsoil is the only Synthetic that has data sheets proving it's better than other brands. No other MFG feels free to give out as much info about their product. It's very rare for anyone using Amsoil to fall back and use another brand once they try it. Their product sell's it's self You don't need tacky sales like putting this oil on the Oil filler cap ...

      I also had a 280-Z. Best touring car ever! By the way, I've been using AMSOIL since the 1980's and I've never had a problem with any of its products.

    You know what's funny about this is I did 5000 miles on Amsoil Signature Series and 5,000 miles on red line and the red line had substantially higher TBN left and it much better in the oil analysis that came out of my vehicle and I'm talking substantially better and the results are on my page

    It was a good video I love Amsoil I just recently switched from Mobil 1 because someone started carrying Amsoil locally it's the only reason I never ran it that being said I have 200,000 on my pickup truck from Mobile One never had a bad oil analysis so maybe Mobil 1 does have deals with manufacturers to run their oil from the factory but I think their oil protects second best of any oil out there Amsoil is better but if you can't get it locally like I wasn't able to mobile one is the only way to go.

  • @cutabove9046
    @cutabove9046 2 года назад

    I have no doubt that Amsoil is a good product and testing by Project Farm confirms that is the case. However, Project Farm testing is a long way off from ILSAC testing. Mobile 1 extended life and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum both holds current American Petroleum Institute (API) and International Lubricant Specification Advisory Committee (ILSAC) GF-6A licenses. Amsoil makes the GF-5 level, but has not participated in the advanced testing for GF-6A licenses. Amsoil keeps referring to tests done a decade ago (2013) as proof of their superiority but refuse to meet new standards witch tests that are far tougher than those required to make GF -5 levels. The reality is that many oils have now surpassed Amsoil in overall performance as Mobile 1 extended life and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum has proved by passing GF-6A testing. When Amsoil decides to put themselves to this test I'll take another look.

      OMG, this is so true. amsoil uses oil standard that was a decade ago. their signature seriez European formula is only a1/b1 while Motul Technosynthese has the a3/b4 , api sp, . not only that but shell helix hx5 mineral 15w40 meets acea a3/b3. a lot of mineral engine oils sold outside the US has strong acea certification and are now sn plus

    I'm not saying amsoil is bad oil. A couple of years ago, I attempted to order it from them directly. Placed the order, paid... two weeks later no sign of oil. Sent an email where the hell is my order?!? "It's been cancelled." "Why?" "Because it's a fraud." WTF! I buy 90%+ of my stuff online from numerous vendors, never had this issue. In any case, if - for whatever freaky reason - you don't want to sell your stuff, how about basic courtesy of letting me know? Too much to ask? Guess so... Never again. Like I said, I ran multiple vehicles for many years hundreds of thousands of miles with no issues (before 2000 - hondas, after - Toyotas) using - until recently - conventional oil so I am a strong believer in regular changes and good vehicles. And I don't let anyone - amsoil or not - treat me like crap. I've lived into 60's without them, and I sure as hell will live without them in the future.

    My k24 purrs like a kitten with Amsoil 0w30.Took a look inside while adjusting my valves. Cam lobes are spotless.200k km and the engine runs very well.I am a believer after so many years. Boggles my mind why people purchase a car worth 30 k or more and then cheap out on oil,the lifeblood of the engine.Regarding redline. It isn t really meant as a daily oil,especially in cold climates.Redline serves a purpose mainly for motorsport.That s what it s made for.I think it s also meant to be changed much sooner after really intensive use.The fact that it doesn t flow well when cold is not relevant for racing usage.

    No doubt its good stuff but I wont use it until it says dexos on the bottle. I bought a new work truck and while I am sure it exceeds this specification in GMs eyes its not approved. Yes Amsoil says they will cover repairs a dealer denies because of using their product but thats downtime between amsoil and GM going back and forth. Time I dont have for my truck to be setting at the dealer. I think if they would get the dexos licensing they would be the number one seller of engine oil in the US. Does a bottle with this stupid logo mean anything? Hell no other then Gm is getting a percentage of the oil being sold. But time is money
