New to the channel. Do you live in Japan full time? How come you decided to move there?
I've been there before! I haven't been in years, but I miss it.
How was the sound between pods/rooms? Could you hear other guests or was it pretty secluded?
BPA free still release nanoparticles
Lid: stainless steel, BPA-free thermoplastic, this is from their official website. I don't understand why they added it. It can still release nanoparticles.
Your Sonic drawing is so good!
Thank you, I was just as shocked!

Watch the updated review for 2025! I loved this jug so much I got another one ruclips.net/video/04Qn61bW4IY/видео.htmlsi=Ky0F-uTXI-mJm-27
I inspired this video! Thank me!
Thank you, hope I answered some more questions and made it a bit more watchable. Let me know how you got on with the jug if you bought it!
@ I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now. There is a clear difference. It tastes so much better. I ended up getting the largest size as I’m a big water drinker. The ONE issue I have with it is that there is always a bit of water left that’s too shallow to climb over the lip of the filter tube (if that makes sense). I wish there was a way to funnel all of the water completely. Do you have any other products I’d like?
Super impressive, I had that same exact colorway and regretfully returned them. I had been trying out all kind of shoes and now after going through a dozen or so I still remember how snappy these felt, I think I may order a pair now that they can be found on such a discount. Excellent review.
@@JacobiusSuarinious-u2k they definitely feel very harsh when you first put them on, especially if you’re used to a softer ride. The key is just to persist with them and after nothing else will compare to the consistency!
Mine just reached 150kms, and you’ve said, it’s a dream riding in one of these. And I’m glad to see that it can go on for a very long time. Do you ever need to wear thicker socks? These adizero uppers are kinda fiddly to get right sometimes and can get some lacebites
@@eby61mss Glad you’ve been enjoying them as much as I have!! How much have you done in them now? I never changed up my socks from the standard running sock I normally use which are the Nike Multiplier and On socks. I always felt it was enough but I’d always suggest to go for what makes them more comfortable for you!
@ yes, the foam is in the goldilocks zone where it’s not too soft and not too hard actually helped me to carry through my popliteus muscle injury and keeping the miles in. My B12 has just reached 166kms, but I also have in my rotation the adios pro 3 (248km) for long runs and zoomfly 5 (560km) for relaxed and the Pegs39 (720km) and Evo SL (40km) for recovery. As for socks for adizero shoes, I’m fixed on feetures high performance socks and balegas hidden comfort, they worked well for me for 4-5 hours of on feet. Anyways, thanks for confirming that the B12 and lightstrike pro will essentially last forever!
The fact that your water is chlorinated tells me that it's been treated in a multimillion dollar water treatment plant prior to being sent to your house, so the "bare minimum" (and more) has already been done. You can get rid of chlorine by letting it evaporate from a cup of water, btw. Just fill a cup or a mason jar with tap water, place it in the fridge, and chlorine will evaporate on it's own.
Hi Just wanted to know how is the water filter holding up after using it for some time now? Do you still recommend it? I want to get one but am concerned with some of the reviews regarding the filter basket getting rusty over time, have you had any issues on that? Look forward to your reply. Thanks.
I am going to comment because I would like to know also
Hey thank for your comment! I have no idea how any of the components could get rusty over time, as mine look the same as the day I first got it. Regular cleaning, using gentle sponges and soaps and following the instructions should do the trick. Buy with confidence, it should last you a life time...unless you drop it of course.
Thank you for this review! I saw some reviews on amazon that were claiming the pitcher was plastic? You would agree it is glass, correct? Thanks!
Its fully glass! There is a larger version which has a plastic handle, however my version is glass only.
I kind of want to get this. Tell me to get it.
Get it, you'll struggle to have water any other way after! The biggest challenge was visiting friends and having to drink unfiltered tap water haha
@ ordered it. what else should I buy?
@@JoeTome I ordered It. What else should I buy? Tell me to get something else.
Can you not decide for yourself?
Thank you so much for the video! This is super helpful!
Glad it helped!
Fiber glass rods 😊
So they are!
I would absolutely love to see what that stuff on the paper towel looks like under a microscope
It's very small granules, some of them being charcoal I believe but it would be interesting to see the brand new and used ones compared!
been eyeing this shoes for a while, but after seeing this review, imma get me a pair of these shoes! curious, are they better than the Novablast 4?
They are an incredible shoe! I've had 3 pairs of the Novablast 4s now and they are not as long lasting as the Adidas Boston 12s. The Novablasts are a lot softer, but after 400kms they already start to give up on the responsiveness. They both have a purpose however!
Nice vid! One recommendation would be to shoot with a wider angle, because you shoot so close up to your face, the shake from being handheld is a bit distracting. Also we can't see very clearly the product, it's cut off. So if you simply used a wider angle lens I think this would be fixed! Best of luck on your channel
Thank you very much for your feedback! I have since purchased a 16mm lens but also transitioned to a Pocket 3. Hopefully I'll get a chance to film a better version soon!
It's a great review. As you were showing the dirty old shoes that was so convincing they can do a lot! Thank you.
Thank you! One of a kind shoe!
Thanks for the helpful review. This is the sort of info that should be given at point of sale. 1. I'm wondering why they say to put the cartridge in boiled water once a week. Since the water isn't boiling for the 10 minutes needed to sterilise anything, is it just to clean the outside of the cartridge? It wouldn't help clean the granules at that temp, more likely it could increase bacterial growth in the cartridge by warming the granules. 2. As someone else mentioned, I'm wondering about having the cartridge granules sitting in the purified water all the time, and whether that might contaminate the water again? 3. The refill granules are pricey. I found 2kg of silver impregnated activated coconut charcoal for a good price and wonder if that might be better at reducing bacterial growth in the cartridge. I like the jug, but they don't give enough information about their refill granules.
Valid points. Especially number 1
I do the weekly clean in boiled water mostly because the instructions say so. After all the manufacturer wouldn't recommend something they haven't tested in a lab setting...I hope. The main issue with filtered water wouldn't be bacteria but the actual contaminants in the water, such as heavy metals, chlorine and maybe even fluoride and hormones (do your own research on that). As long as you use the jug regularly and you clean it regularly, bacteria shouldn't really start growing in there. Regarding the refill granules, in the UK they work out at just under £10 for the enriched ones. To me £10 for a full month of drinking water isn't a great amount of money, considering bottled water is not approx £1-£3 per litre which is very expensive! Of course alternatives might be cheaper but I am not sure if they would work as good with this product!
Thank you for the detailed review, it’s a great user’s guide. I’m wanting to replace my Brita filter as I always feel uncomfortable having to bin the plastic cartridges every four weeks. Been doing some research and gravitating towards this filter just want to make sure it is definitely worth the investment in terms of filtration quality. I have two questions please: throughout your use of the jug, 1) Have you tested the other refill pack I.e Aarke Pure Filter refill? If so, Which do you prefer? 2) Have you used any other brand’s replacement filter granules and if yes, did you notice a difference?
I have only used the original Aarke regular and enrich filter granules. I would always recommend using the enrich ones as filtering water removes all the important minerals from water and those granules actually prevent that! Buy with confidence, you won't go back to the plastic Brita filter again! I have actually included a link in the description of the video if you are interested in getting one!
Thanks so much for the review! Quick question: are the glass and stainless steel components not dishwasher safe? Just thought that would make the cleaning easier :)
I would avoid using heavy detergents or harsh cleaning processes on the components as it could damage them. A light scrub with the soft part of the sponge is plenty and only takes 4 minutes!
Is that place abandon? Or still open for business?
Still open!
U need amex platinum not gold, i have gold but no lounge access
I really like your video. I can feel you respect Japanese culture. Recently there are many RUclipsr has no respect to their culture or people, it really annoy me. I am looking forward your next video!

Very true! I think people love to jump on Soju if they want a bit more of a kick!
Nice video! The music audio part is a bit too loud imo.
Thank you for your feedback, I've taken it on board for my new video and I think it's so much better!
170¥ is not 2usd, it's around 1.16usd
You're totally right, I think after doing the conversions for over an hour my head was fried haha
A detail with the Tax Free, is not every store that has it, is not mandatory but most stores in touristic places have it.
That's a good point, I remember Swatch didn't offer it as they didn't want to make their limited watches even cheaper for re-sellers, but also most stores has a minimum spend of Y4,000 to qualify for the tax free.

Hello
Hi, thanks for watching!
Wow! Super insightful and definitely not what I expected 😮
Glad you liked it!
I run and feel the heat on my foot in 3-4 km when it turn 500 km, should be retired the shoe?
They are rated for around 500-600km so its normal to feel discomfort at that point. If you want them to last longer, try different socks or insoles but I found that after the first few kms they felt comfortable again!
Love these shoes, I used to train in Nike, but the durability was so trash, 900ks in a pair of invincibles and they’ll look like a flinstone car. Walking around with just the upper. I still think the Nike race day shoes are better than the pro 3s, but for daily running I don’t think you’ll find better build quality and durability than the Boston 12s
I went through 5 pairs of the Invincible 2s and 3 pairs of the Invincible 3s and I can 100% second your thoughts! After even 700-800kms they have little support or feedback. I always change my shoes after that distance anyway but its nice to have a pair that can last longer when required!
Ta for vid. Very sketchy videoing but on your own I guess you are doing your best. I think I would prefer to use one of those SS or ceramic ones that gravity-feed water into a bottom chamber. That means the filter medium doesn't continually sit in the clean water you are going to drink. In Oz things can get warm and would prefer to not have bacteria build up around granules to maybe leach out into stored water. Nothing is perfect even the high-tech ones that get plumbed in because of bacteria etc. All the best
Hey does anyone know if this filters out fluoride from the water? thanks :)
Hi! I believe it does, it was one of the main reasons for purchasing this water filter!
No, unfortunately it doesn't take out fluoride.
There is another brand that claims to reduce flouride and they use the same two ingredients in their filters so that’s why I thought this one does flouride too
@@ChannelCez reverse osmosis filters are the only ones that remove fluoride completely. They're too expensive and need installation, as you'd know. I've now found and bought a Filteroo ceramic water filter, not cheap but it removes almost 99% of fluoride using a ceramic water filtration candle made by Doulton. Ceramic filtration candles are over AUD$100 but they last over a year.
@@wandayonder9772 wouldn’t distillation get rid of fluoride too? Just makes pure water. Was thinking of going this route distilling then remineralising and alkalising. But ceramic option is good too
As much as I dislike the Boston 12, it's good to see that they have excellent durability!
They are very hard to fall inlove with but once you do, no other shoe will give you that much support for such a high milage. Regular foam shoes just run out of steam by the 800km mark, but these just kept going!
is it a good pair of shoes for walking?
They are very high energy return shoe so you might find it a bit overwhelming to have such a high stack high and rocking forward motion when walking. I would recommend a more balanced shoe, perhaps something from the New Balance line up or maybe Asics!
I would walk in them only after I retire them, but I wouldn't buy them for walking because it feels weird compared to other running shoes.
Your camerawork SUCKS
They are not selling it anymore, do u know where to buy them?
Depending on your country, I believe you can get it on Amazon!
I just bought the large size thru Amazon and it arrived quick.
It's way too expensive esp the filter.
I also thought the same however it is a one time investment for the jug which can last a lifetime and if you drink enough water, this is much cheaper than buying bottled!
@@JoeTome the pack contains 3 sachets but u said 1 for £25. Did i miss anything?
Thanks for your helpful review. I've just purchased the aarke water filter jug following your review. By using the required method of cleaning & maintenance that you showed it will determine the optimum performance from this amazing design. No more plastic bottles. Thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Just got mine and this is first place I came😊 for instruction. Already own the carbonator and greatly enjoy that.
Why not empty filter first rather that in hot water
I wanted to show how to do the weekly maintenance and also change the filter filling also. As per the instructions you have to do both!
Thanks Joe, very useful. An essential bit of kit when you live in a “moderately hard” water area and don’t want your super expensive espresso machine to clog up. Definitely be getting one now and saying no to plastic.
So happy it was helpful!
