How is it you equate the care of a horse with a car??? A horse, regardless of it being considered "just transportation", is a warm, breathing animal. ANYONE that is the "owner" should be committed to it's care: food, shelter, and medical needs. Check out the rescue called Gentle Giants to see what this amazing organization and its staff do to retrieve abused and neglected draft horses (and yes, we know where most come from!) from the horse meat auctions! Once rescued, these poor souls receive whatever they require to pull them from the brink of starvation, infection, and any number of illnesses brought on by their former neglected lives. God bless them all!

I completely agree with you.. I never said he was treated bad NEVER said that. I have many Amish friends that take exceptional care of their horses. I’m not sure where you got the impression I was being negative to Amish.

The MEC in Shipsewanna Indiana. They will also host the world finals there this fall These are teams from the US and Canada.

At the end, the announcer mentions "Junior High Point Overall" Most likely, these are the teams who qualified for this at the end of the day of computation. Placings earn points throughout the show, or could be the end of a series or season of competition- most points at the end of the day/ series/ season wins high point overall for their age class.

Hello! Nellie is 12 now but she has only been off her original farm for about 2 years. They had actually talked about putting her down if they could find anyone to take her 😢. It’s seems she is actually trying to protect me by keeping the other horses away!

Why would you be angry about that question? Some of them are lightly ridden but most are not.

Oh my goodness I guess I should explain! 😂They only come in to eat their pellets. Cause some of the others have to have soaked hay cubes. Forage based diets are best. The horses are out 24/7 with free choice hay in hat chicks hay nets, and free choice Big Sky Mineral . There is a whole hoop barn with hay feeders they can wander in or find hay in other places around the property They are a herd, all together and roam about the property. Some of the stalls are left open if they want to come in they do .
