This is my videogame audio design demo reel, for which I have redesigned the sound and music for several trailers and gameplay scenes across different genres to showcase my skills in audio design, sound design, music composition and creative decisionmaking. Especially for the gameplay sequences I considered how they would sound if dynamic audio systems were used and designed the audio accordingly.

But can you make it funky? Not "haha" goofy video game funky, but more so Will Sessions or Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro funky. I've been meaning to get around to cracking open Session Horns Pro, but know the sound can feel synthetic without playing the horns separate from each other. Kind of makes me wonder if Native Instruments could do a patch to improve it so there is more control over the feel of the individual horns so they have their own character. Otherwise I imagine fussing with pitch changes and other effects on certain horns could help a lot. At that point you would be resampling the recording to give it a more organic feel, but still a lot less expensive than hiring a full band... no offense session players looking for work.
Nonetheless, appreciate you doing a bit of a showcase with this.
Thanks for your input! I tried to stick to the genres I think I am proficient enough in to be able to contribute a valid opinion, funk is unfortunately not one of them, I hope you understand :D I have actually used the plugin for some reggae productions, and I agree with you in that it can feel really limited quickly, so I usually end up having it in the back of the mix. I don't think they will ever update this, and it wouldn't make sense imo, but they might release a new completely new version of the plugin, like they did with session strings, some day.
great work! I just bought this and tested it out last night. The instrument is a beast!
I agree, it's amazing! Thanks for the kind words (:
thnaks for shariong master!!!
wow, you made beautiful music, loved it
Thank you (:
this is so good put together, inspiring.
Thanks! (:
i got to use this in a game just now it is so neat haha. using Aparillo synth for strange sounds in the Scatterer. so cool, thanks a lot for showing us how to do this, oh if you're not using Global Sampler for sound design yet you should get it. We have a free one in Reaper DAW but there is a vst version someone made as well.
Nice! Global sampler looks nice, reminds me of the retrospective midi recording function in cubase. Also, how have I not heard of Aparillo synth before, this thing sounds amazing!
Wow, that's a lot of games.
oh cool you show the scatter thing here. nice
I didn't know you could insert videos into Cubase, thats pretty nice. Keep doing what you're doing. I really like your native instruments series.
Do you like these kinds of videos? What could I improve?
The thumbnail just doesn't pop in comparison to the session horns video.
Maybe you should actually rate every plugin out of 5 stars or 6 guitar strings or 10 points or on a tier list or whatever floats your boat.
Also I am missing a face cam whilst you explain the music.
thanks for the feedback (: I actually wanted to keep it more like a showcase instead of a review, so the viewer can decide for himself if he likes it or not after hearing what it sounds like, I think I will keep it like that for now @@thereddeveloper
@@thereddeveloper Also changed the the thumbnail, also thought it was too cluttered. And might bring back the facecam, good point.
Great video! do you have some video about fmod?
Thanks! Not yet, but I am planning on doing videos about Fmod and Wwise soon. Anything in particular that you'd be interested in?
@@tabibitoaudio more fmod tricks pls. you the only person to show how to use Scatterer like this. I really love this trick.
Arkhis and Fables would be nice!
Noted!
👏👏👏☺️
Hey! What do you think about this instrument?
Very nice walkthrough. Great examples of how to layer horns well. Thanks
Thanks! Appreciate it.
Muito bom. Obrigado.
Is there any plugin you want me to cover next?
Thanks dude. I'd love for you to cover some of Ava Music's 'UNITY: Trailer Synth' library, or maybe even alternatives to Strzov's 'Jade: Ethnic Orchestra' in the future, but no rush :)
Thanks for the suggestions! I have already done a video on NI's East Asia Collection, if that's something you're interested in. ruclips.net/video/VeZD6hTV_jo/видео.html
There is a Harp in NI Factory 2. Please make a video on how it works... especially the Glissando. Thanks!
Hate that the modification keys are so far down. Can't press them and the normal key range on my small midi keyboard
Yeah, I think thats a problem in general with these instruments and smaller controllers. Do you have some extra buttons on your controller that you could use to trigger lower notes maybe? Drumpads work nicely for that as well, I use them for keyswitches sometimes.
@@tabibitoaudio Maybe, but I didn't see any way to map alternate keys in the instrument itself
You would have to map the buttons or pads of your controller to produce notes in the lowest octave, afaik in Kontakt that's the only solution
Horrible work.
Haha, thank you for the honest feedback. Would you mind telling me what you didn't like in particular, so I can learn from it?
The brass don't sound like wind instruments, they sound like synthetics. You have absolutely no sense of orchestral perception of music, let alone brass as such. This requires a specific feeling of phrasing and orchestration. There's really no substitute for keystrokes.@@tabibitoaudio
I see what you mean, have you used the plugin and gotten better results? I would love to hear them! What do you think of this, I have written it using another plugin and I think the brass sounds much better ruclips.net/video/LGT28LcPD_4/видео.html @@pavolkoren5335
Do you know how to record the thrill "xy control" in fl studio? i can't find any videos or web forums that discussed or give a tutorial about it. It would be really great if you can help me, thanks!
Hey, I don't use FL Studio, so I can't really tell you. But in the "Master" Tab (the small crown) in the Instrument, you can assign any Midi CC to the two axis of the XY-Control. With this you should be able to either use a Midi Controller or write the automation directly in FL Studio I believe (There should be a lot of tutorials for that). Hope that helps.
@@tabibitoaudio thank you so much, i will try your suggestion and i hope it workss
Love the composition!
Thanks (:
hast ein abo verdient
Danke :)
When I change either instrument (A or B) on any of the sounds, that instrument doesn't work. Sound will only come from the originally programmed instruments. So I can only use them as they are and can't make my own sounds. Are you familiar with this issue? NI tech support has not been helpful. Thank you!
Hey, I just checked and for me it works fine. I tried Kontakt 6 and 7 as well as both versions of Ethereal Earth. I also have not heard of this Problem before, so I'm afraid I can't really help you. Have you tried different versions of Kontakt?
How do you get the automation to record in your DAW? I tried it in my Maschine software and it doesn't record.
Well, in Cubase there is a "write" function for each track, which records automation if enabled. I haven't used the Maschine software, so I can't really tell you, but that is how it works in most DAWs, I believe.
@@tabibitoaudio thanks for the info
Love that melody.
Gutes Video!
final result is awesome
The metronome sound is way to loud and your voice too (in relation to the music). Nobody need a metronome for 4 or 8 bars of chords or sound layers... Otherwise, a good presentation and very interesting.
Yes....
Thank you so much!
13:12 DAMN Tabibito! This sounds like a movie!! I totally love this! Do you score films?
Thank you! RIght now I am working on different things but i would love to score some films eventually.
Love this ❤
sounds great bro ! very realistic
Im gonna buy this this vst but i gotta admit this track is really good bro👌
For the sake of realism, I play each part separately with expression for each part, which I think helps.
Thanks!Whatstringlibrarydidyouuseinpart2?
