Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake is NOT a sequel to Night of the Living Dead. Romero even said so. 28 Day Later and 28 Weeks Later aren't zombie films at all. The infected in those films can starve to death and decay to the point of uselessness, whereas zombies do neither.
