Hi Primary Applicatent (F1 student): I am currently on an F1 visa and in my last semester, which ends on December 2, 2024. I applied for OPT in the month of October 2024, and my EAD card was approved and received with a start date of January 12, 2025.(work authorization start). F2+dependent(1 year baby): On November 18, 2024, my spouse and 1-year-old child attended for F2 visas, but their applications were denied under section 214(b). on F2 i20 back side it is clearly mentioned like "Requested for OPT" . At the time of F2 interview the F1(primary) applicat EAD card is approved and received. InterView Questions (hyderabad morning 8:30, American young Lady): 1. where he stays? A : Told with address 2. what he is doing now . Masters or OPT? A : He is doing masters so and so university. 3.who is giving you funds? A. fater-in-law funding me XXX amount and also we have properties and worth XXXX. 4.How long are u palling ? Planning to stay 1 month. ** after 1st question At the time of interview my baby cried and left from me and moved to next line VO told me to bring my baby. Given that my semester ends in December 2 (as per i20) and my OPT begins in January 13th 2025, would it be better for my family to reapply for the F2 visa in December 2024, or should they wait until after my OPT starts? What would be the best approach in this situation? we have next administration fear
