I remember a few years back, my neighbor was following a seriously drunk driver, which happened to be the Ione California city attorney. My neighbor was on the phone with emergency operations and after being transferred from one jurisdiction to another and finally with Ione PD as they were entering town, he thought for sure that they would pull him over. Since, that's pretty much all Ione PD does is pull people over. To his amazement, the guy pulled up to city hall which is where the PD is located and there was three officers standing there. He told the cops that that's the drunk he's been following as the drunk got out of his car and walked into city hall. The police told him that it's alright " he's the city attorney" and that's as far as it went. An intervention could of saved lives and Ione PD let the public down. A few months later the city attorney was driving drunk and hit a family pulling their camper head on, killing himself and trapping the father in his seat alive, but screaming and suffering while being burned alive in front of his kid's and wife. These fools operate a prison that has holding cells where they should of placed him until the state police could of arrested him. Had they intervened, they could of saved his and potentially someone else's life.
