Wow, times have changed. I paid 390k for a three story 1300 Square foot 2 bedroom 3 bath townhome in downtown covina called vintage walk in 2007. Back then I thought that was pricey. Lived there for almost 10 years till my divorce 😢. Good neighborhood, centrally located, near major freeways and walking distance to metro link. Good times.

Pasadena is full of homeless and crime and it lacks diversity now, nothing like it used to be years ago. Most natives have left.

I was born in Culver City, family moved to Pasadena’s Bungalow Heaven when I was 5, starting Kindergarten. I moved away 2 or 3 times after graduating, but came back for good when I had my own children. 🩵💜🩷 My multi-generational family LOVES our city!! …The weather, diversity, community, amazing police officers, mountains & hikes, holiday festivities, & all the Christian folks (esp teachers)! There’s just no place like home for us. ***Now, the Dems have ruined a lot of things over the past couple years. (2020-2024) Newsom is THE WORST! I have to say homelessness & crime has skyrocketed under him. And the public schools are no where near the same anymore, glad my kids are all teens about to be done here…BUT! I have hope that things will turn around. We have a lot of prayer warriors here, & many folks are waking up & becoming more conservative & outspoken about it. Many Pasadenians never leave or always come back. It’s a large city that feels like a small town sometimes. There’s lots of love & beauty here in the City of Roses. 🌹 We’re never bored here. Praying it stays a place that will always feel like home & improves once again more than ever before. We’ve sown many, many blessings into this land. Hi. I need to pick a place for my dog and I to relocate after horrible tragedies and need new beginnings. Where do you think? I lived in Beverly Hills for decade and OC for 14. But after 2 fires and so much corruption, and I’m suing 2 places in Irvine , paying thousands to live in Uninhabitable luxury Slumords. They want the foreigners because they don’t understand about the toxic mold and their renters rights. All a part of their plan. And pay off all the Political Puppets , while people are getting sick and then retaliatory evictions. So hopefully you can help. One of the lawyers In DREDF, is in Monrovia, and I just want to be in clean safe , no traffic and crime etc. Let me know

Hi, I have budget of 7 million and currently looking at La Canada Flintridge but I've heard the homes here usually go for around $10-15 mil. Is this truly the case or am I confusing La Canada for La Crescenta?

West Cameron is a bad part of West Covina. I’ve lived here for 40+ years. I think the last murder that happened there was around 8 years ago. My office is about a couple of blocks away. There are always homeless wondering around but credit to West Covina police department they don’t stay around too long. The West Covina mall is dying, but free air conditioning is always nice. Porto’s is decent but is getting pricey. HK plaza is decent but has never been popular. For the price, in my opinion it’s not worth it. West Covina in its heyday was great to live in. Nowadays, not so much, but compared to the rest of California, West Covina is a safe haven.

Haven't experienced all of Pasadena, but if you're White, and have kids, choose somewhere else to move to. The schools are gonna be a nightmare for them!

We got a real deal back in '94 - '95 on Hampstead, after finally selling the place on the very end of Hillhaven Ave, and beginning Tranquil Dr in Tujunga. Don't remember exactly now if it was $1200, or $1500 a month. Anyway, the place was great (asides the freeway), my friend back from Tujunga even got the exact same Diamondback mountain bike for $50 cheaper in La Canada, than me at the Tujunga K-mart, but the amount of drug use at LC High was worse, than even my previous Fairfax High, were I was bussed to the visual arts magnet program. Overall, LC very clean and non-violent, but those rich, spoiled brats sure love to party! Haven't seen kids so often stoned during class at Fairfax, as at LC.

I stay away from Glendale because it's infested with shady Armenians that lease expensive cars but live in shitty apartments with their parents.

Sad to know this neighborhood has turned into gentrification, a weird word to describe corruption and invasion from foreigners that no idea where their money is coming from. Greedy owners to make money out of the expense of family members that dont want any of that craziness. I'm sure corruption is involved.

Pro# 3, diverse culture and food, is easy to overlook. I lived in Pasadena for about 9 years and was impressed with its demographics. There’s a diverse population with highly educated younger professionals. In my last condo building in Pasadena we had engineers, lawyers, people in the medical field etc. The city also promotes an active lifestyle. Walking for exercise and leisure is common. I just moved to San Dimas and while I landed in an area with a great public school system and many shops, I’m in more of a suburban environment. My wife and I were walking around the neighborhood and we got what seemed to be puzzled looks lol. Also the demographics in my new neighborhood are more working class people that got into the neighborhood when it was more affordable and the area became affluent around them. Pros and cons but I definitely miss Pasadena!
