On Wednesday June 11, 2008, Brock watched the Prime Minister of Canada make a Statement of Apology to former students of Indian Residential Schools, on behalf of the Government of Canada. This is the song he was inspired to write by that event. The slide show is one that I use when I lecture on the Legacy of Residential schools.

Lunaapeew is the standardized spelling of the munsee dialect for who we are. This is my understanding after talking to our only first language speaker of the munsee dialect.

@@benhamon1823 Yes, we’ve been introduced to each other on FB. The language spoken at the beginning is Oneida. Lotunt is a friend of our community, here in Eelūnaapéewi Lahkéewiit. He usually sings the skin dance as part of our PowWow on Labour day weekend. It would be great to meet you in person someday.

You love this? Yet you are seriously rude and and have no business commenting negatively on another’s cultural practices. I am a proud Lunaapeew and am grateful we still have our language, songs, dances and elders. This man is a shining example of a leader. Not everyone is Pavarotti. What are you doing for your culture? What are you doing for your people’s children? Just look at those little children dancing with all of their heart, having a great time. And if by any chance you are Lunaapeew, you should be ashamed of yourself! Stand down dude.

sixstringhero20 thats so cool that they went to your camp last night and played for you guys. It's people like you and i that really need to promote brock and glen to get out on the stages and perform their hearts out see i am trying to get brock down here to play in kingston and to be recognized for all of the incredible work that he puts into his music. glen is one of my best homies and brock is right up there.

Glen has played the harmonica for a number of years now. The tricks that he does all stems back from his days of playing flute. That's hours of tongue work on the harmonica

That harmonica solo just makes me wonder. Not so much wonder if it was good or not, just wonder how by the jesus his mouth managed to do that. whatever he was doing it sounded really cool.
