You didnt share any information with us, you just unboxed (mostly off camera) a machine, half assedly went through the accessories, and fumbled your way through mounting a LAP (not a blade). And to top it off, we get to the end, and watch you struggle to put the reverse thread nut back on the spindle, and then you say "lefty loosy, rightey tighty", to fully reinforce the understanding that you have the mechanical understanding of a 3 year old. I was, no doubt, being a smart mouth when i said what i said. Judging by the overwhelming number of faceted gemstone videos, your lapidary journey is going as expected. I don't have a date set yet, but I will be Creating jewelry with those meteorites (7). I have purchased a few small ones to work the silver with. The custom paydirt vids will be dropping in the next couple of days.

The visibility was low because of low night, except that produced by the torch, the fire brick, the stamp reaching red hot color from the torch flame. Almost all light lost during the oil quenching.

I made the silver design using one of the square titanium soldering stencils. At this point it is a one of a kind of piece. It will be seen again in a video in the near future.

Of the two bags, I can still pull out magnetic material from the original concentrates bag and from the magnetic materials bag. It will take some time to go through all of this material so the viewers can expect a few more video posts. This gold is very fine flour type gold. It is also very bright in color! Comes from Nome, Alaska This kind of concentrate bag is tedious work, says the gifting miner. All will be panned by hand!

Good question. Yes, you should and will. Only for the initial use. After that you’re adding a bit of flux to every reheat of the crucible. If you watch metal melting vids some use glass and flux in the crucible. The surface of the crucible is somewhat rough. The flux is granular in texture and acts like glass when reaching melting temperatures. It pulls out impurities and coats the surface so that the metal may flow over it (the crucible) without sticking. Picture a glass with water in it. Same idea with the crucible. Soon be recording some silver projects.

I have learned that I need to season the pans. I’ll be showing soon two of the mineral bags. They have nice quarts and perhaps a nugget!

How do you season the pan? Update: When I did a google search you video was the one on top. That’s what I have done but maybe not enough.

I have a very low tier model and this brand goes over 1k in price. I’m at the $400 model. My city does not require a permit to use in a park but they don’t allow any digging. It does great with large silver coin or 22k gold. The gold in my series called Gold Concentrates was mined in Nome, Alaska. It was gifted to me because of my passion for seeking the experience of wanting to gold pan. I’ll be starting more of that series soon and more Klesh gold Paydirt bags (2)
