Yes the same. They utilize a proprietary piston developed by Montegrappa. The piston in the Monte Grappa is the same used in the high end LE pens as well.

I just bought this wonderful pen
Retired USAF.. Love the watch and I expect go snag one. Being large in size; it is a good size for me. My only question is it's durability. Anyone owners answer this question. I will do a review when I get mine.
Yes.. its 46mm and the strap is thick so it deftly works for a large size wrist
but this is matt blue 😂
