The Best Dividend Stock to Always Keep Buying
To say when the S&P is up 10%, JEPI is up 7% is misinformation. Right now 12-3-24, the S&P is up 32% for the year, and JEPI is up 12%. I have no idea where you get the 10 vs 7 from. Please explain.
This is simply an expected average, JEPI is designed capture a portion of the returns of the S&P, not exactly all of it. I was using 10% vs 7% as an example.
I’ve bought and sold bought and sold! I’m just gone hold now. But thinking of half Jepq and half schd, use the divs to fund more schd
3630 shares
Hey I have a question . This etf is new but I’m wondering how will it perform if the market goes down . I know that you will get more divided since it’s a covered call but will it go to zero overtime ?
Thanks for the comment. I don’t think these ETFs will go to zero barring some major disaster. These ETFs receive money from debt obligations as equity linked notes. Their holdings are separate and not like a conventional covered call ETF. If the market goes down, this ETF will likely go down as well as there is still risk tied to the companies it holds. The equity linked notes income will make up slightly for it, but in a major downtown, I would expect this ETF to suffer too - maybe not as much though.
@ I currently hold 100 shares of jepq and I’m waiting for a down turn to add more . I think the divided will be worth while . But not willing to buy more now since is technically at all time high
This is my 10000th Schd video that I’ve watched lol. Totally not obsessed 😅
The S&P 500 finished down 20% in 2022. This means long term investors have a great starting point in 2023. Here are 4 very popular ETF's: $VOO- S&P 500 fund $VTI- Total US stock market $QQQ- High growth, tech $SCHD- Growth + Dividends| I just tallied my dividends for the year; $167k Blessed and grateful, disciplined and focused. SCHD and JEPI are definitely the ways to go
My index funds just went over $6,000 in dividends post election. This is money that i can choose to spend without having to sell any of my shares. But for now i have it all set to reinvest to buy me even more index funds.
Anyone have recommendations for a reliable monthly investment? I hope to ultimately supplement my income from work with a monthly income from investments. I will still make long-term investments, but it would be wonderful to have a little additional money each month
I do have a recommendation. Assess to information and professional guidance is essential to succeed. That is where a CFP comes in. Have you considered professional assistant?
I have been advised on that for a while now, but finding one that understands what I'm looking for and can advise me to that accord is whom I'm in search of. Please, any recommendations?
Joseph Nick Cahill is the CFP for you. I recommend him because I understand where you stand and your need for a listening ear
12% growth in JEPI seems a little rich. I'd say 9-10% max
I’d say 4-5% truthfully
@Thehharrison Managers are targeting 7% payout.
Great video
10% return for the life of the fund
How do you feel about Covered call ETFs? I don't have the experience to sell SCHD myself. But I hope the ETF management does. I just really want to know more about these things before investing, only if someone can put me through.
My concern is whether I can continue to sustain my standard of living with $550k and avoid outliving my savings. Every withdrawal makes me a bit unsettled
@@RonnieWine I'm approaching retirement and having a financial advisor has been helpful. I started investing later than most, so relying on compound interest from Etf's or bonds alone wasn’t enough for me. Despite that, I’ve managed to do well and am on track to retire with around $2 million
@@EbrahamAljalil I'm currently evaluating my portfolio and could use some guidance. How can I get in touch with your advisor?
@@RonnieWine I usually avoid making specific recommendations because everyone's situation is unique. However, my experience with Julie Ann Lerch has been quite positive. You might find it worthwhile to see if her approach fits your needs
@@EbrahamAljalil I looked for the name online and found her page. I will get InTouch with her, Thanks for the help I emailed and made inquiries. Thanks for the help
Voo schd and dgro
Look at NEOS funds. SPYI has replaced JEPI in my portfolio. If you are in a taxable account, note that the NEOS funds use contracts on the index which qualify under Section 1256 for much more favorable tax treatment, and they also do other tax favorable moves.
I think VYM complements SCHD very well👍
Vti vig vym for me 😊
Keeping an eye on DIVB ETF and SPDG ETF with the lowest expense ratio of 0.05% for dividend ETF’s. DIVB YTD daily total return 21.24% / SPDG YTD daily total return 21.79%
I thought MAINs regular dividend has been growing slowly, but yes their special dividend does move around
My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40,000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

Dividends are a great way to generate cash flow! Solid ETFs and index funds. Should provide for ever!
I think your goals are amazing!
A key component to building a combo is the ratio between the components. What ratio are you thinking? Sounds like you are doing 2 parts VIG to 1 parts SCHD. I'm at the stage of life where I need more yield, so if I were to allocate to some VIG it would definitely be the smaller part. Any idea why when ViG is 17 years old, it only has 10 years of dividend growth? I wonder if this fund had an index change. Vanguard does that to their funds every now and then...
Yes, I did this video assuming a 50/50 allocation. Regarding the dividend history, that is a good question. Looking at the NASDAQ dividend history, it doesn’t appear to have not grown after ten years. It does appear that there was a dividend decrease during the years 08-09 (of course). Seeking Alpha may be providing a tracking error.
I must say I love dividend investing, getting those payments in for just holding a company is amazing. from what I've witnessed it all comes down to having a Licensed investment Adviser to handle your portfolio. All thanks to my Investment Adviser, who has traded my savings daily from quarter a million to almost one million dollars in the last 3 months.
Amazing ! I have Liquid Cash I want to put into stocks, but i want to ensure good profits & safety. Care to share how you achieved such milestone.

Kathie Daisy Bosco is finally getting the popularity she deserves and this docent come as a surprise.
diversify between divident and growth funds. Look at QQQM and VOO and see how well they have done. Balance is the key.
VOO is better
Made a video on TLT.
I would have like to have seen JEPQ and TLTW studied in this list.
I want to like VIG but even Voo grows at a 10 yr cagr of 7% div growth. If vig grew more than schd i would like that
you could use DGRW instead of Voo or Vig. 9.40% 10 yr cagr
It is also tempting for me to buy a bit more SCHD now too. Solid dividend growth, but VIG seems to have a slight advantage in terms of total return overtime. I’m a big fan of SCHD though.
I'm favoured $35k every 8 weeks! I now have a good house and can afford anything and also support my family

I've been investing in Bitcoin by myself. I'm not really happy with what's going on, just few weeks ago I lost about $7,000 in a particular trade. Can you help me out or at least advise me on what to do?

Holding vti , more exposure to us market
Solid pick, nothing wrong with that. Do you hold anything else, or just VTI?
Vti and btc. Solid and risky together 😅
Omg bro you are my hero! I have 80% SCHD and 20% JEPQ but I have been looking for a strong four core stock portfolio I love your simple portfolio so much!
This video has not aged well.
Yeah, SPHD certainly has had an impressive run-up. JEPI, with dividends reinvested, has hardly outperformed it.
@@sunshineinvesting Yeah sphd is up 27% and Jepi 15% since the video was posted. With dividends re invested.
Do you pay federal taxes on the dividends?
Unless in Roth IRA, yes
Can this etf cover my bond allocation?
Solid video, I never got into JEPI, but think JEPQ is more of a powerhouse regardless given the tech orientation!
Jepi replaces bnd in portfolio
I’ve thought of that, but at the end of the day, JEPI is still linked to the overall market, so it doesn’t really act as that proxy.
@@sunshineinvesting unfortunately bonds are no longer counter point to markets, if stocks fall so do bonds.
Very nicely done.
No VOO? Everybody has VOO in their portfolio
Nope, VOO is a great ETF, but if I were to add it, it would just be extra overlap.
Investing in stocks may appear simple, but selecting the appropriate stock without a proven strategy can be tough. I've been trying to develop my $210,000 portfolio for a while, but the biggest hurdle is a lack of a clear entrance and exit strategy. Any feedback on this topic would be greatly welcomed.
Investing in multiple asset classes can mitigate risk more effectively than placing all of your capital in one. See a financial consultant if you don't comprehend finances well enough.
I am sticking only vti. This best way I think
I like SPTM(S&P 1500) etf, it's the s&p500 large, s&p400 mid, and the s&p600 small cap all in one. I find that vti hold many unprofitable companies and sptm weeds them all out. But hey that's just my 2 cents.
What methodology does it use ? I’m very curious because I plugged both VTI and SPTM in portfolio visualizer, and overall SPTM is the winner.
I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Natalie Strayer.
I'm surprised that you just mentioned Natalie Strayer here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, i'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
The very first time we tried, we invested $2000 and after a week, we received $9500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
Natalie Strayer has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in Canada 🇨🇦 as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
After I raised up to 125k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states also paid for my son's surgery Glory to God shalom.
I have 14k schd and 14k voo in my Roth IRA
Great video, I am close to half a million in my dividend portfolio already, I remember starting off with about $90,000 worth of digital assets and I'm not stopping now. All thanks to having the right Investment adviser who handles my portfolio. She is the best . 💯✅
Amazing ! I have Liquid $150K to put into stocks, but i want to ensure good profits & safety. how did you find the right Investment Advisory?
sincerely speaking i work with Essmildaa Morgan , and will continue to buy and trade. I will stick to her guides for as long as it works.
I did a quick search online, she has pretty decent credentials, Wrote her a quick mail. hope she finds space in her schedule to help me .
Good info; however, i prefer VYM over VIG for my personal-strategy.
VYM isn’t bad, offers higher yield with still decent dividend growth.
On your YOC calculation, are you taking into account the dividends received, and the additional shares they would have purchased over that 15 year period? That's what I love about holding on to a stock for long periods of time. The other item is if there were any stock splits during that period of time. I recently looked at what would have happened if I would have held on to the first stock I ever purchased (FAST). If I had purchased 100 shares in 1987, I would have 19,200 shares FROM JUST THE ORIGINAL 100 SHARES (8 splits in total. 1 - 3:2 and 7 - 2:1 splits)! That does not include shares purchased with dividends over that period of time. BTW, with the latest quarterly dividend paid on July 26, 2024 of $0.39 would have meant that the original shares would have been $7,488.00! As a fool however, I sold my FAST shares after they had gone up 15% thinking I could get another stock at a lower price that would also gain 15% - rinse and repeat. Needless to say, I look back now with GREAT regret that I didn't keep that first stock.
No, the calculation does not include dividend reinvestment - that however, is another added benefit.
What do you think of IVVW as another monthly paying dividend ETF? Can you share your thoughts in a video?
my birthday is also 4/21, I am 27 in a similar posistion
Thank you for the insight. I am a newish investor, and I like your channel.
What would be the best 5 etfs for a beginner ?
Thanks for the comment and question. This shouldn’t be taken as specific advice as it would depend on your situation. However, the top 3, in my opinion, would be VT, VTI, and VOO.
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.2m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first break through with a liquid 370k. Handed it to a trader here in FL, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.
Thank you Guys, I already added VOO and QQQM, can you share this Pro with me
Since you moved from m1 to E*trade and have all four in one portfolio what’s your percentage allocation for each? Or do you still have the same allocation as if you were still at M1
Appreciate the question. As of right now, I have not been buying SCHD or JEPI - I will resume when my emergency fund reaches $20k. As for the current weightings, VIG is at 40.8% portfolio value, and SCHD is at 19.3%. Unfortunately, E-trade doesn’t allow for dynamic asset allocation, so these weightings may change overtime. I expect to buy $100 each of SCHD and JEPI every month in the future.
In my Vanguard Roth I hold VIG, VYM, VNQ, VUG, CONY, TSLY... in my HSA I hold QQQM, SCHD, SOXQ
