    This just proves my point that people use way too much charcoal. Also, if the charcoal still has black under all the ash, that means it still has energy left to burn, just get rid of the ash, and light it again.

    Looks most excellent. As a born west Texan, mesquite rules for beef, lamb, well, any red meats. Also throw some pecan wood or pecan shells. In central Texas, Post Oak rules. For pork & chicken, I love maple wood and pear wood if you can find it (or chop it down on your property). I love apple and cherry woods for fish and predominantly white chicken meat, and Dove and Quail. Great stuff you're producing Bud.

      Hey Brad. You are spot on sir! Great selections for each wood. You really got me missing quail hunting. They were plentiful here back in the 70s. My dad raised bird dogs so I was tromping through thickets as soon as I could walk. Guess I can buy some now. Thanks for inspiring a future video and thanks for watching! 🤠

    Hi, apt. dweller here- I really want to make this work. The dorito won't stay lit, tried piece of wood won't stay lit, cardboard won't stay lit, none of these will lite the charcoal; it all fizzles out. I tried lighter fluid, still all the fire goes out, no fire, no hot charcoal, no heat to cook. What am I doing wrong?

    • @carolinacowboycooking
      @carolinacowboycooking 11 дней назад

      @@jacklynn78 Hi Jacklynn, couple things come to mind. 1. Could be the charcoal. If stored outside, charcoal can absorb moisture from the humidity in the area and be difficult to light. 2. Airflow is critical. If you are using a flowerpot, be sure to elevate it off the ground without blocking the drain hole so air an get into the pot from underneath. A breeze or fan can help a ton. I did it with one dorito so additional doritos or corn chips, or potato chips will help. Thanks for reaching out.

    Hello, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life. He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?
