Is ADHD fake?
Просмотров 32811 месяцев назад
There are various reasons why some individuals may express skepticism or believe that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is not a legitimate condition. It's essential to understand that the overwhelming consensus in the medical and psychological communities is that ADHD is a real and valid neurodevelopmental disorder. However, here are some factors that contribute to skepticism: Mi...

ADHD can be very confusing! I decided to share a quick video explaining some symptoms that some people may not know! ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It's a neurodevelopmental disorder that can affect both children and adults, impacting attention, impulse control, and hyperactivity. Inattention: Difficulty sustaining attention, making careless mistakes, and being easily...
Tourette Syndrome is Embarrassing!!
Просмотров 40711 месяцев назад
I get asked this all the time! “Is having Tourette Syndrome embarrassing?” I don’t think Tourette’s is the defining factor for embarrassment… it’s the individual. Are you prone to being embarrassed or not? That is the real question. What is embarrassment? Feeling embarrassed typically involves discomfort or self-consciousness due to a real or perceived mistake, awkward situation, or social scru...
What if my kid has Tourette Syndrome?
Просмотров 33411 месяцев назад
I have been asked this a million times. I have jumped back and forth on if am worried or not. Great question… short answer is no. At least I will be able to relate to my child if they have a tic fit or struggle with their confidence because of their tics. Having lived with Tourette’s for 33 years I know how to handle it. There are a lot of conditions I don’t know how to deal with. But no one ev...

I just took one vayvanse I'm high as a kite thanks doctor
I wonder if getting drunk makes their tics more vulgar or intense?
I'm on day 5 of cold turkeying of Vyvanse. I was on 80mg of Vyvanse. The only symptom I have felt is fatigue. Don't believe everything you hear. We are all different and will have different symptoms. It's a close cousin to Crystal Meth. If you get anxiety ask for some Ativan. It can be done. I WISH I NEVER GOT ON IT, THE DOCTORS DON'T TELL YOU SHIT. ADD MEDS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!
Congratulations!!! I have just recently found your videos and they have been great. Thank you for posting these!
Me to it made me cry cause I am not like the other kids I get bullied all the time and no teacher does anything about it other then one you might know me and that’s ok but it’s so hard
It’s king stingray

Ahhh the wonders of cousin marriage. Read the wiki article generic studies on the arabs 😊
Uncle, what's your height? My height stopped at 16 as 5'11 but after 15 days, I stopped the medication it gradually increased to 6'4".
I just had my done and my insides. Don’t feel like they were reconnected back right they’re moving all over and when I roll over.
I was there
Was a great presentation!
Seamus it was wonderful having you share your story and your DRIVE leadership approach for our Leaders! Thank you for joining us for our leadership forum!
Tourettes has made my life very difficult
You tell 'em!
Very true , well expressed. You chose to be in the real world and not in the ADHD medical world. Right decision, bravo
Thank you so much for your bravery and humor. Tourette is a weird one! I’m 37 and I only was diagnosed, accepted it and openly identified with it 8 months ago, along with adhd and autism. There isn’t a lot of material and there aren’t a lot of videos about Tourette or made by people with Tourette, so I want to thank you so much. Watching this talk brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. It feels so good to feel seen, and to know we can start being open about this stuff now with less fear of ridicule and violence compared to the past. There is still a long way to go. But you inspire me. I hope to reach a point where I can find my own way to be as open about it as you are. I still feel ashamed about it and I still sometimes hate it and wish it would go away. I have a lot of social anxiety that comes directly from my Tourette. I will keep living and gradually becoming more courageous about it. Through this process, finding videos like this genuinely helps a lot! One more time, thank you for being who you are and doing what you do. ❤️ From California.
Wow! Thank you so much. I am so happy that this video has helped you. Yes it is a hard road but it truly sounds like you are at the beginning of the right path. Never stop trying, never give up and keep working on it. You can’t change the world, but you can change YOUR world. Thank you for taking the time to comment :)
@@SeamusEvans You’re welcome!

Hahaha thank you!!!! Yes I am back :)
👏 You've been missed & I hope you're doing great ❣️
Oh Thank you! Yes I have been amazing.
Me like a dumbass watching this video and having so many tics being triggered😂😭 It's like they have an inventory of my tics and keep going down the list and checking them off💀
Totally right! Almost like they are doing a role call?
@@SeamusEvans 100% 😭 I had such a long and painful tic episode during and after the video, but I watched it all and loved it!! Worth it really😊💜
Really enjoyed this episode. I loved when you spoke about your parents never 'answered for you'.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank u Seamus for coming down to my school
I am so glad you enjoyed my visit!
I supress my tics way more than I like to at home and my tics are still bad but I'm still too embarrassed about it and it's been 12 years. Hopefully I will be free to move more soon
I am so sorry to hear that! You should never be embarrassed by something you have/who you are. I love ya!
The one big thing I battle with is not knowing anyone who lives in my area with tourettes. I'm like, desperate to find something else who has tourettes that I could be friends with
Yeah that is a hard one! Hmmm… maybe an online community?
God Bless you All! Amen!
Thanks! You too
why didnt you just down the doseage so you have a better balance?
Because I felt it did nothing. I am always naturally inclined to increase. Not decrease
I've got Tardive Tourettism from a neuroleptic. It's awful. I feel so alone.
Oh I am so sorry. You’re never alone. There at 8 billion people in the world. Hang in there!
I literally can't help but suppress my tics around people, it's automatic. I've tried to stop suppressing and can't
Hmmm… yeah that is so understandable. Do they just coke out worse after?
@@SeamusEvans oh yeah, I get home and it's an onslaught of tics.
I have an N word tic and I've tried to redirect it to say Nicaragua and now I'm ticcing both. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've had this same tic for years and I've been waiting for it to run it's course but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It's still very upsetting.
Oh no! That’s horrible. Are you okay? That must be hard
@@SeamusEvans I'm ok, I'm trying to comfort myself that it's a tic and I'm not racist. Just feels absolutely horrible to have that word leave my mouth. Some days are better than others. Thanks!
the first boy is definitely faking soMe of it
Nope. V real
What's with the biting??
Impulsiveness tic
I’m going to try this. I have been dealing with this very bad tic where I have to jam my left side ribs into my stomach. I went through an extremely stressful time last winter and the tic got so bad I ended up badly injuring the rib muscles on my left side. It took several months before I could even lay down on my left side without being in massive pain. The pain, although lessened, is still there 6 months later as well as the tic. Hoping I can redirect it with this advice so my rib muscles can finally recover fully. Thank you for the advice!
Gooood luck with redirecting. How have you found it 2 months on?
You visited my school in Brisbane not too long ago. Excellent talk! Didn’t notice your Tourettes! Wonderful how you play it off.
Oh wow’ thank you for remembering!
Marijuana
Yes…
Does anyone else wish they had a best friend with Tourette’s
Hahahaha why? Do you have it? Or just because it would be cool to have a mate with it?
Not tried them yet and not been diagnosed yet but seems likely I have it. Seems like using them on and off is useful so you can get benefits of both depending on your plans for the day
Totally!
Your show at my school today was amazing
Oh awesome! Thank you!!!
That's crazy! I saw you this year, great talk man!
Thank you so much
Why not tell her to stop biting?
Can’t control it
It’s tough
@@SeamusEvans yay you’re back
Yeah man, anyone worrying about it changing your personality, it will do the opposite. I never felt more like myself than my first day taking it.
Oh really? Wow
