OIBA is a non-profit that serves the community of Oregon by providing year-round, high caliber
dance instruction and professional performance opportunity to students of all ages, experience
levels, backgrounds, and economic diversity.

OIBA believes ballet technique is an intangible treasure passed down through generations of
master teachers which inspires grace and beauty through physical form. At OIBA, teachers create
a nurturing environment where each student can tap into their full potential. Based on the
Vaganova Method combined with the directors’ personal experiences dancing around the world,
OIBA teaches through precise explanation and clear demonstration, inspiring students to focus
and find their own unique voice in dance. OIBA instructors pass on knowledge in a way that
encourages each child to maintain their playfulness and joy as they grow to achieve their
highest level of technical proficiency.
