Cysts During An IVF Cycle?
Yikes! What if you go to start IVF and your clinic finds a cyst on your ovaries at your baseline ultrasound? Let's talk about if cysts are going to throw your IVF off course... or if cysts aren't such a big deal after all. Because it can be both and kinda depends!
I hope IVF knowledge helps you feel so much more informed, so you can stay more centered and have better outcomes. And I'm talking IVF outcomes like number of eggs retrieved, better quality, higher pregnancy rates AND outcomes plus quality of life during IVF and mental health too! It all matters because all of YOU matter!

      I'm so glad it resonates with you and is a comfort. I love the idea of embracing paradoxes and when it comes to the unknown the paradox is strong. You can lean into the unknown AND hate it. You'll never make them meet in the middle and be one "mid" thing... it's more like a mental game of ping-pong... back and forth and back and forth 😝 It's just good to have BOTH in balance -- that's whole and human! There are lots of other paradoxes when TTC. Doing okay / not doing okay. Feeling hopeful / feeling totally guarded.... the list is endless. I appreciate your comment and will be cheering you on through the unknown!

    Hm, my stress is relatively low (I even have an app on my smart watch to keep an eye on it) and it’s still been 2 years. I did have a traumatic upbringing. Based on what I’ve learned so far, it’s best to focus on what I have control over and think of them as fertility wins.

    • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 17 дней назад

      Absolutely, stress definitely isn't the only thing, it's just one of the only things we can directly change -- and it sounds like you've been doing good work with yours. I go over the nuts and bolts (first tests I start with, how to make sure you're wroking with a clinic that's good at trouble shooting fertility/doing IUI/doing iVF/ect , how to tell what your menstrual cycle might be telling you, trouble shooting other body issues that might be adding to fertility struggles, etc. in the nursery module of the 90 day TBYW program). There's a ton of infertility that isn't "only stress!" You might also like my youtube video -- why TCM is good for "unexplained infertility" as well as some of my blog content about silent endo if you feel like you've done all the tests and nothing comes back as "off" with hormones, sperm, uterus/ovary anatomy, etc. One other thing -- depending on childhood trauma you could also look at my blog for the post that covers ACES. Lots of ways to work on things from a big picture (that serve you right now AND help fertility).

      @@thebabyyouwant thank you for taking the time to reply to me. You have a good energy to you, and I am enjoying your videos. In your professional opinion, does lying down for 15 minutes before using the toilet increase your odds or does it not matter?

    • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 19 дней назад

      @@Pinkswimma great question! The research seems to suggest it doesn't matter... and I love the, "We would be extinct!" mantra for questions like, "do I need to... fill in the blank... to get pregnant?" Insert things like: lay down, keep my heart rate low, cut out sugar, avoid all caffeine... etc. I like getting more holistic about it though. For some people (who are exhausted, anxious, etc) laying down just feels nurturing and calming. For others (who are angsty, have a hard time relaxing) laying down feels stressful. I think it's the best choice to always think about what "tips YOUR unique scales," the best way... it's not one thing making or breaking your cycle, it's abut small and cumulative things moving you more towards whole and balanced or away... if you want to learn more about this idea start with my stress and fertility video (and it'll end with a couple more places to dive deeper once you start there)! ruclips.net/video/LsZb7Suj7Ic/видео.htmlsi=nBzoNe63A-x2C_vZ

    Can to lose the weight gain from IVF?!

    • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 23 дня назад

      You can, but it's definitely more complicated than just diet and exercise! -- hormones, diet, activity all factor in and hormones are probably the biggest driver (we're seeing how big this is with these new GLP-1 medications which mimic hormones and also stimulate bodies to change their own hormone levels even more)! I'd definitely talk with a skilled provider if you've gained a significant amount and it's not coming off. It's important to know it's not a personal failure!!

    • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 3 месяца назад

      Oh I'm sorry things are so nebulous and full of unknowns! This is not specific medical recommendations. This is just my best guess without any tests/labs based on what you shared. It is for education only. Generally (in the absence of a pregnancy and the HCG pregnancy hormone kicking in) if you ovulate you will get your period within 14 days. That's pretty locked in. Based on what you shared, I'd guess that you ovulated around July (after your last period in June), got pregnant, tested positive for HCG (pregnancy hormone that stops a period) and then the pregnancy stopped progressing, but hasn't actually passed/bled. This is sometimes called a "missed miscarriage." If there's no chance you could have gotten pregnant then you'd want to look at other reasons for a pregnancy test to come back positive. You'd have to talk with a doctor. Some medications and certain tumors are examples of things that can cause a false positive on a home pregnancy test. These things are pretty rare. If you did have a pregnancy, the pregnancy hormone might be in your body (at a very low level that a home test wouldn't pick up) and until it drops down to zero it might delay any bleed. I would want to talk with a doctor about that, because depending on how far the pregnancy had progressed they might want to help things resolve with a medication or surgery OR they might tell you to wait. If you suspect you had a missed miscarriage and have any signs of fever, infection I'd go in for immediate care and mention this history. If you have coverage and a healthcare provider I advise you to talk to a nurse line/doctor and ask about getting your HCG levels (pregnancy hormone) tested in a lab and/or an ultrasound to see if there's any retained tissue or lingering pregnancy hormone. Again, if you don't think there's any way you could have actually been pregnant then you should also talk with a doctor. I hope this helps!

    I already bought a pad but it was like six bucks. It's nice to know that you can use paper towels if I ever had to. It is absorbing into the body so maybe I do want to be a little bit concerned about what kind of chemicals might be floating around in the oil. We already have chemicals floating around in just about everything we use and eat and wear. Just as some feedback I hope you don't mind but the video started out with quite a loud 📢 raspy "I" and it actually startled my whole system because the volume was up. It's always nicer to start on a softer note. Has anyone ever told you that he resemble Hillary Clinton? Not someone I admire. • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 7 месяцев назад

      Sadly, there's no clear answer besides the best thing you can do is get in some good moderate activity (biking, walking) to work up a mild sweat/get your heart rate up, use light strength training to up your muscles which ups your metabolism and eat lots of plants, fiber and real foods. I wish I could give you a timeline, but bodies are so different. The good news is (if you aren't in perimenopause for other reasons), the main message that's telling your body to really hold on to every bit of energy will go away once you aren't estrogen deficient and releasing so much FSH (aka off the fertility meds). You definitely aren't alone. I find knowing the underlying factors weirdly validating (even if the weight gain is still super unfair and frustrating... like so much of infertility). Sigh. Hang in there! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and write!

    Hi do you reuse the paper after using for another castor oil pack??

    • @thebabyyouwant
      @thebabyyouwant 11 месяцев назад

      Hi! I don't, but when I used to use cloth I would keep that in a jar in the fridge and let it warm up to room temp before using it again. I'd use those a few times. I'm thinking you could do that with paper towel, but part of the appeal for me is that it's one use and I don't have to keep the sweaty old ones -- but I run hot!

    I've been using cut up diapers which have worked well but my daughter is of the opinion that diapers have some kind of chemicals in them that can be detrimental. So I started to put cotton between the diapers and my skin. Problem solved.

      I did look up diapers for someone else in an earlier prompt and it does seem like a) they do have extra chemicals that you could easily do away with by switching to paper towel, old cut up shirts, etc. and b) they're made to really hold things IN and not feel damp so you might not get as much actual treatment using them... so again, there might be a cheaper and more effective option. That said, you do you and decide for yourself!

    Good description of the procedure, touched with a lot of common sense!……I really appreciate that!! I could see wearing a nice, loose pair of cheap bike shorts over the pack, too, just to keep everything sort of contained to the area needing the attention. I’m 72, and none of my doctors seem to want to address the constant, piercing pain I feel 24/7, from my belly button to my girly parts. They have all really let me down, and I live in a bit of a “doctor desert” and don’t fancy traveling 1 hour + to an appointment or a clinical visit. Oh, well…should have thought about that before we moved here……blessings and good thoughts to all of you seeking to conceive - it was a battle I never won, so I’m empathetic to your struggles!💕

      Claudia, thanks for sharing and I'm so sorry you haven't gotten the care you deserve. I've found some really great relief from some of my digestive/gynecological chronic pain using the ideas they teach over on www.curablehealth.com/ I'm in NO way affiliated. I just like giving shout outs to things that are evidence-backed and helpful! When there's anatomical pain that's so persistent the brain will amplify it and have a harder and harder time turning it on and off. This podcast/app/book helps control that part and it helps a lot of people who mainstream medicine hasn't been able to find a cause for/help. If you try that program and your pain is still sharp/stabbing and constant I would encourage you to seek out a scan. Sharp pain is more likely to be anatomical in nature (like fibroids which can persist after menopause). This isn't intended as a substitute for individual care, just some general guidelines that I hope will help inform your choices and broaden your options! Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry you weren't able to have the family you wanted. It's a grief that lessens, but never goes completely away and can hit you hard - I'm sure you know. I appreciate you being a part of the conversation!

    The main problem of the castor oil packs will be the poison jam in the liver, for by applying the castor oil packs you will be able to mobilize the toxins in the human body but you are not able to excrete these ones efficiently, this in contrast to take castor oil orally. Further a study in the Turkey has shown that castor oil packs are unsuitable to relieve a constipation, this too in contrast to the swallowing of castor oil. So, the optimal manner to cleanse not only the intestines but the liver too will be to swallow regularly 1 tablespoon (= 15 ml) castor oil early in the morning on an empty stomach.

      Thanks for your comment, but I respectfully disagree. I don't use castor oil (internal or external) to detox. This is about what the recinoleic acid binds with and preventing prostoglandins from causing cramps and pain. We don't need help to detox - the body is masterful and wise designed for this. www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/the-dubious-practice-of-detox If you want to learn more about forever chemicals see the video I have about them and read the books I put in that description. That is a valid concern, but another topic completely! Hope this is helpful! I'm all about what's evidence based, so if you have rituals or self-treatments that feel helpful for you go for it! I just want folks to know what's what and not confuse slowing down and rituals for science! Thanks for opening up the conversation and for your passion!

      @@thebabyyouwant Castor oil for itself is no laxative, but this one must be splitted in the duodenum in order to realize a laxative effect: - When the castor oil will reach the duodenum some hormones will be created in the wall of the duodenum in order to activate the gall bladder and the pancreas to an excretion of the respective content. - With the gall poisons and heavy metals (mercury!) will be excreted in the duodenum too. - In the duodenum the gall and the secretion of the pancreas will split castor oil in riciloneic acid and glycerine. - The ricinoleic acid will activate the passive histamins being deposed in the small intestine, so the peristalsis will begin (first step). - So, in the small intestine the ricinoleic acid will not be taken together with the poisons and heavy metals (interruption of the enterohepatic cycle). - In the case that with the gall toxins will be carried in the duodenum the Prostaglandin Synthesis E2 (PGE2) will occur, this with cramps in the bowels and in the uterus (second step).
